Morning everyone, it's SUNNY here, was awful yesterday, so good to see the sun.

Need to get motivated, tomatoes to be picked and turned into something amazing or just put in the fridge!

We have sunshine too Dot.
If the ground dries up by late morning I'll do Round 1 of picking up the hazelnuts. If I leave them too long they get trodden into the grass.
Usually takes about 3 sessions of 3/4 hr!

Mmm...this year I fancy making some hazelnuts in Calvados...not made any for a few years but it's absolutely yummy!

Morning all! That sounds delicious Nicos. I'm always at a loss what to do with my walnuts apart from adding to cakes i do little else with them.
Bright blue sky here too Dotty, rained loads yesterday so fingers crossed it stays dry. There's washing to be done

Just had a bit of a giggle. As I don't have a proper kitchen at the moment I'm cooking with a microwave and slow cooker, and I've ordered a tabletop hob. Yesterday I bought a jar of cook in sauce. In a bored moment I read the label. It said "Serves 3". Instructions "Fry 2 chicken breasts". Ok, I suppose you're meant to cut them up, but that's not what it says. :-)

Morning All. Sunshiny here now, though 'twas cloudy earlier.
I've just done something foolish. Gave the dogs a big pan of cooked red cabbage that had been in the fridge for a couple of days. They've wolfed it down. Anyone got a windturbine I can borrow as I think it may get very windy here later

walnut ideas,how i like them
blend them up for putting in stuffing,mixing with cuscus add some curry powder/paste,i suppose you could also do round ball things,the vegetarian way,and freeze,i also like some on the cerials together with dried fruits,and EAT them on their own,melt chocolate of your choice pour a little into them sweet cases sink
a walnut into the top,would make nice gifts,
Sooner you than me VC,would it fumigate the green house if they were enticed inside,

Morning all. Been sorting out various bits for ebay so far this morning. Going to take OH to the dentist soon. Think he is having another fitting for his denture plate. Well I think he is or he is having 3 teeth out instead.
So depending on what happens I'll go down the allotment later on or end up giving it a miss today.
