Good evening folks, I decided to go over to go and collect some seaweed this afternoon while my wife tided up the house, put some of the seaweed around the winter cabbage to stop the slugs and snails getting them, so will see how this helps, the cabbage I have set up as part of BMs challenge in the greenhouse are not doing well but as I have some seaweed steeping in water I will add some of the extract to see if it makes a difference (I would be better putting this in BMs thread) Now that calm has descended in the home I will go and see if anyone would like a cup of tea knowing its to late at night, but it`s the thought that counts, and good luck to AP over the weekend, hope everything goes well.
Well I wish you all a good night and for those who asked I knoiw where my wife keeps the hoover I just dont like using it as it "sucks".....GoodnightLast edited by rary; 25-09-2015, 10:48 PM.it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Mornin all!
Early start today but woke up an hour earlier than I needed to with hayfever!
Just waiting for antihistamines to kick in and hopefully get a tad more shut eye!
Looks like we have a few nice, dry days ahead so hoping to get stuck into some gardening and hazelnut collecting today

Good Saturday All
Definitely feels like Autumn this morning, 3.5 in the garden. Forecast is also set fair here Nicos so hopefully will be able to get plenty done over the plot and in the garden.
Good luck HazelLast edited by Greenleaves; 26-09-2015, 07:28 AM.

Morning everyone. Very chill overnight - got down to just 3 in the PT. When I told OH he started singing "When Will I See You Again" - grr, he never takes this gardening lark seriously.
Daughter come back from school yesterday full of cold and a sore throat so hope that improves or she will miss out on a trip to see some owls on Monday. Also hope we don't catch it either because it can take weeks for us oldies to shake off a nasty cold.
Planning to pot up some ornamental cabbages I got yesterday and hoping the visiting pigeons don't tuck into them.
Hope the tablets work soon for your hayfever, Nicos. I used to get it quite badly but not much as I've got older so I guess there have been some benefits to getting older!
Have a great day everyone.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
