Evening all - another useful 2 hours on the allotment - one bed limed and adjacent one more than half weeded plus path in between the two of them completely weed free now but will need a fresh lot of woodchip :-)

Good evening Folks, it has been quite pleasant here over the past two days,( Jay you will have to move to Ayrshire for some good weather). After nearly fifty years of marriage, my wife has finaly said that I am the boss in the house......when she is not in so to keep her happy I will start the papering again, maybe next week I fitted a new light in kitchen today it uses LED lamps (and what a difference it makes it makes) I then let my wife take me out for a meal. I have just been informed the kitchen will be washed down tomorrow (it was fine in the old light).
Well I wish you all a good night, and remember when you are switching off the lights when going to bed, the darkness hides all the blemishes in the house. Goodnight
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Nicos could you please tell me what or where the name Hibou comes from, I have no knowledge of foreign language but am curious to know what it means, and to all who have pets, cherish them

rary...OH is desperate to move to South Ayrshire but it's a bit too rural for me. We have been lucky with the weather though the mornings start off dull and cold but by the afternoon the sun is out! Enjoy yourself tomorrow!
Morning all. Cold and cloudy here at the moment.
Off to the allotment to start digging over the old fruit bed section this morning.
Have a good day everyone
I think Hibou is an owl? Nicos can correct me if I am wrong. How is she doing Nicos?
Ha!... Yeh...Hibou means owl...but she's a cat!
We called her that because she's an incredible hunter.at least 20 mice and voles a day and one day killed and ate a stoat! That takes some bravery!
Looks like minimal brain damage and she's very lively now, but her eye is now the main problem.
She's under a specialist now, but seems to have a drug resistant eye infection.
Thanks for asking!
She's utterly desperate to go out and hunt- yesterday she squeezed through an open window 3" open an lept down 15 feet into the garden. You've never seen 2 adults leg it so fast out of the house and dash round to the back garden to rugby tackle her!
She sulked and cried for about an hour after that....little rascal!
My old moggy was an excellent hunter. She once caught a hare but her favourite thing was catching frogs and bringing them into the house alive and letting them go
Morning Nicos its good that Hibou's feeling more like her old self iyou two must have looked funny though.
Flo I thought of your youngest Golden Girl yesterday when the fairies (white flies) were flying around the kitchen after I'd bought some Kale into the kitchen.
Morning all - eldest grandson returned home 30 minutes ago and has now come back again as he walks the dog - think he enjoyed his stay :-) Sun shining brightly - should get another couple of hours on the allotment today.
