  • Morning all, had a storm last night so lovely as we rarely get rain. Love laying in bed listening to the rain drops on the roof. But a lovely bright and sunny now.
Going for a few day trip with my boys to Malaga tomorrow. There are a couple of cinemas that show films in English. So going to watch the Martian, Everest and maybe Crimson peak. There is also a wonderful little Italian that homemake all their pasta etc, haven´t been since May so hoping it is still open as there was not many customers around. Hope the weather stays nice and warm its forecast to be sunny and cloudy with temp´s in mid to early 20´s. Have had a very stressful horrible year and have not been away for a long time so really looking forward to it. We need the break. I think it will be our last trip in our old faithful as the new one comes in January. (motorhome) so excited. Hope the plants manage without a watering for a few days. They will have to. Need to finish off the new irrigation and then wouldn't have to worry.

    Have a wonderful day grapes
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

    • Morning all Hibou sounds like such a character - hope that nasty eye comes good soon.

Just spent the morning in the PT. Pleased with progress - some of the Chinese Cabbages look like they will be ready to eat soon and they smell so good. Didn't have many tomatoes left so I cut them off the plants and have left them to finish off ripening - I hope anyway. Getting the plants out of the way has freed up more room to move.

I know this is sad but I'm almost looking forward to winter and escaping off to sit in peace in the polly. As long as I wrap up warm and take a flask, I can see myself enjoying that very much.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

      • Morning all,

I am tired to day the least...3 nights of socializing in a row will do that to you tho

Early nights this week I think...
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Its been a bit busy here today & I haven't had much time to pop in for a Hello.
Had a new outer front door fitted and a rarely used back door turned into a window.
The pups thought it was great fun, having 3 strangers to pester. Ted picked up their "kitchen" roll and ran round the garden, trailing paper behind him, like an oversized Andr3x puppy.
The doorbell had to be removed and rewired and it was ringing each time the fitter touched it. The pups, of course, thought there was someone at the front door, so rushed around, barking, jumping and trying to be intimidating!
All quiet here now - that's the good news. The bad news is - they're back tomorrow to finish off
Hope everyone's had a good day

I quite like it when there is no rush to get jobs done and an allotment trip can be a wander round, dig some leeks and check the netting. Come mid January I'm raring to go again but I do like the quiet time.

                  Well that's Monday over...
Sitting here looking at the latest addition to my seed collection... That, of course, I didn't need to buy

I've been admiring my latest arrivals too. Some beans, squash and lettuce from Realseeds. You can never have too many seeds

What do i need to pack? have i got everything? where are those passports? oh i don't need them, where are the dog´s passports?
Do not forget to fill with water and leave the dogs leads this time
I will lay here for the next hour remembering everything i will need for a 3 month trip and then leave tomorrow without my toothbrush
