  • Still crossing my fingers for Hibou's poorly eye. I hope it shows improvement for the next review.

Woke up really late today, 9 o clock eek! That is a wacking great lay in for me.

Didn't have good nights sleep. First next door woke me up as they were walking up down gravel driveway (well crunching) at 3 in the morning. Then just as I settled back down, the cat jumped up and knocked my iPad off the side table and caused a ruckus until I got up to feed her. Interesting start
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

    • Good morning from a very dull and dreary Dublin. Forecast says the sun will come out later but I live in hope.
Not a good start to our bank holiday weekend.
      Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

      • Morning all..
Dull and dreary as Bramble said...
Want to plant some more onions today if rain stays away...
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

The postman woke me this morning - delivering a new Grobe Katzenklappe Wonder how long this one will last?
Bit damp here - can't have it sunshiny every day. It would get boring!
Have a good day, whatever you're doing

          • Morning all - grey and wet here. The forecast says it will brighten up later .... hope so, I intend to plant my garlic this afternoon. So the season that I dislike the most is almost upon us - winter, with the clocks changing tonight. Dark mornings and dark evenings. Gloom, gloom, gloom. Tried to book myself a holiday this morning, but probably won't be able to confirm until Monday when they have checked availability of some excursions I want to do. Everyone needs something to look forward to

            Have a good day all.

            • Ha Ha VC - had to look up your Grobe Katzenklappe! Thought it was a large Cat something - not sure about the klappe bit. Isn't German a wonderfully expressive language.

Many years ago, first husband had a posting in Germany with RAF. He learned German but some of his colleagues just 'made it up'! Eg Eargesplittenlouden Geboom (say it aloud) - that was Atomic Bomb and

                              • Good evening Folks, had a trip to the Clyde valley to day although I like to see the Christmas decorations and lights I think October is far too early for them, mid November would be a more suitable time, I think it`s more greed than anything else that drives it. Well thats that of my chest, I hope you all had a pleasant day, there were some heavy showers at times today but fortunatly I missed most of them, while in the garden centres I gave in to the temptation of buying seeds (so bang goes the £20.0 limit) and ofcourse I was met with usual "dont you think you have enough seeds" which as usual I ignored , it was said on my deaf side so I didn`t hear it, oh and we also bought a new light LED for the hall, and joy I dont need to paint, wash down or any other unnecessary job to be done (at present)
Well I wish you all a good night, remember the clocks go back tonight, so dont make any noise in the morning I want to have an hours more sleep, and I dont always sleep with my deaf ear up. Goodnight
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
