Sub title How To Grow Tomato's

First set your seed, set more seed than the number of plants you require just in case.

If you have a good germination keep all the seedlings, nurture them over the weeks until they are ready to go into their finale positions in the green house. Select the best plants for yourself, give some away and compost the rest.

Love your plants, don't let them get cold at night, it could kill them. Water and feed them and spend time squishing all pests. Eventually you will have good strong plants to bear the fruit of your labour.

The go to check your runners for black fly and out of the corner of your eye you see........Bu--er me they even have fruit on.

I'm in a similar pickle... I have tomatoes shooting up everywhere from inside the brassica cage to hanging baskets, in pots with raspberries and in the compost heap... I had a load of seeds in various containers that didn't germinate last year so threw the 'useless' contents of the pots back on the heap, into my seed compost bins and clearly into a few other places... this year i've got more tomato plants than i can count!

What's the odds if you didn't sow any Tom seeds next year, some would pop up somewhere.........a bit like Tatties really?

Best of it is I snapped the original plantlets in two. They have no water, no feed and no shelter, makes me wonder why I ....................bother with the rest.
