I'd stick to runners if squeaking french beans are that scary

My kids have always called them squeaky beans! It's what makes them different. I couldn't force feed a runner down their necks but squeaky beans, they love them.

Bumping this in the hope that, one year later, there may be someone sensible on here who can answer my question

Apparently if they squeak they are under-cooked Green Beans

Yay, what do I get for being sensible?

......not a clue what you're talking about .......my French beans are obviously far superior ~ the non-squeak variety .........they do, however, scream when submerged into boiling water ...........

I reckon French beans squeak for the very same reason that Halloumi squeaks. Don't what it is though.

The French for squeak is "claquement" or (my favourite) "pousser un petit cri aigu," so do runner beans squeak in a different way to French beans? Personally, I think they have nothing oily inside so they do the same as when you wash and wring out your hair - squeaky clean! Lumpy - if a cow is not milked, the hormone that enables it to lactate eventually stops. Physics not my strong point but don't think light and gravity interact as they are different things. OK - my question is: why does coloured soap have white bubbles, and what was there before the universe was created?
I work very hard so please don't expect me to think as well!
