Has anyone ever done loom knitting? Is it easy to do. I've been watching videos on utube and it looks alright so I've ordered myself a loom board.

I had not heard of it before looks like a take on french knitting. As to it being easy I think it would depend on how much of a crafty person you are and patient

What was your thinking behind taking it up? something different to do or making specific type items etc. I only ask as I love doing constructed textiles, a lot of techniques are on my 'I will learn one day list' just thought there might be other things you might consider

I can't remember how I come across it. Think it was a Utube video that I saw when I was looking at knitting. And I thought to myself I'd like to have a go at that and see what it is like to normal knitting.

          Just had a look.
Seems there are quite a few interesting garments etc you can make depending on which one you use.
What have you gone for Carrie?

It's not a bad price for all 4 loom boards.

If you get fed up of knitting it looks like it would make a brilliant seed drill for your chilli seeds etc.

I haven't done much for years. My latest is needle tatting and I have given away what few bits and bobs I had done

I am going to try and make a scarf for my first try at it and see how it turns out before I get into anything big like a blanket.

I've seen a few ideas online how to make it. But there is one I've seen and I like so I am going to try and stick with that patten.

Soon as I have finished it I will show you

I've never had a go at loom knitting. but I've seen one being worked. It did look very simple to do ( I'm not good with technical). The stuff it produced was really chunky and looked stunning. I don't know if it was the type of wool or if it just makes chunky stuff. Either way I was very tempted to get one.
