        I substituted a couple of swear words for the polite version. Just in case people are thinking hold on I've never heard the saying in that fashion before

                            "it's cracking flags" ... I'd forgotten this one, my aunts and uncles used it. It just means the sun is so hot that it's making the flagstones split. By eck as like, go to the foot of our stairs.
