  • Lunar eclipse

There will be a total lunar eclipse on the 28th September. For those of you with the stamina or insomnia it starts at about 1am and lasts for 5 hrs.

Don't know that I will be watching it!

I think I can book myself for a night of insomnia on the 28th. Bet it will be a cloudy night!

Too late for me, can't see myself waiting up for this.

Cor- thanks for that- I'll make a note and hopefully I'll be awake at some point if I have a huuuuge glass of water just before I go to bed!

s'my birthday, will be waiting up, possibly with a glass of something lovely. Am v much hoping that it won't be cloudy, as I've missed every other sky-based thingy this year thanks to London's greyness.

                          Completely clear sky here.
                          Just watching it go .....yey!
Hope loads of other people get the chance to see it- it's a darker shade of blood orange than I was expecting.

Also seen loads of shooting stars coming from the North!
                          Made loads of wishes

It is stunning! its not completely clear here. A little misty, but beautifully still and not cold. Not watched from the beginning, started watching about 3am. I've seen a few shooting stars as well. Also had a red deer stag roaring in the next field. Going to watch a bit more now. Then going back to bed.
