It was beautiful! Like you Nicos, I managed to get a couple of wishes made. The stars seemed to be so much brighter when the moon was covered completely. I could easily make out the Milky Way too. Here is a photo taken by my husband.

Got up at 3.15 to see it and all I could see was fog

We got up at 3.30, the sky was clear and the moon glowing red but it didn't look huge, just normal size but still magical, I am glad I saw it

I stood in my dads meadow and made a wish for it to remain a wild flower meadow for now and always.

I didn't think it was that big either Verinda. As you say though, it was still wonderful

                    I was watching from Brighton.
I went outside to see what was happening at about 1am, then at half hour intervals after that. Lasted until 3.45am before crashing out.
Yes, the night sky was totally clear, but even still I found the process rather disappointing. The moon was just to far away for the naked eye to properly capture the transition.
And the camera zoom was just not up to it. These are the best pictures I got.
Was rather hoping the 'super' aspect of the event would be evident alongside the colour change, but alas, no.

Well we were in South Ayrshire for the weekend where it is lovely and dark. Our bedroom had a fab view of the eclipse so I just lay and read while watching it. Waited until it turned red before finally going to sleep. It's catching up with me now though, to say I'm tired is an understatement, but it was worth it.
