Anyone watching this programme on BBC2? It's certainly giving me ideas for my strawberry growing for next year
What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
    Pumpkin pi.

No but thanks for the prompt - will go and hunt for it now.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Does anyone have a link for it on youtube. I have had a little look but cannot find it. I cannot use player or anything like that over here.
Found lots of videos about commercial farming harvests, might get lost watching some of those later.
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

Similar to last years effort. Interesting to note the changes in technology/techniques and more particularly changes in our buying and eating habits.
Also noted was the trend to a warmer climate enabling a broader and different mix of fruit or veg that can be grown.

I was pretty surprised to hear of the decline in people eating runner beans - they're one of our favourites.

Would love to taste one of those little strawberries.

Did you see the machine they used on Tuesday for planting lettuce in the field,it was super speedy the machine made the hole, put the tube of lettuce in then the soil gets swished over. I think it could be quite easy to make a miniature design for people with back problems or difficulties getting down to the ground. Such as a push along on wheels device,it would make planting out seedlings so easy!
