ok I think the prototype is done. silver is ordered (ouch) so I think I should have it done pretty soon!

I've been working the silver for the last 2 days, I've got the chain made and started wrapping the quartz, still got some progress to make but I'm winning.

I may do, my mother has decided that she would really like one of these as a bracelet so looks like ive got a lot more work ahead of me.

however the necklace is done, I changed the front a little to open it up as I'm particularly fond of the bit the stone will be dangling in front of when its worn, didn't want to much to be hidden by my handy work, also means if I'm caught staring I can just say I'm checking the stone for chips!
so, what do we think?

It's really gorgeous. I personally prefer the prototype back in #19 but that's because I like to see more of the stone and I like the 3 swirls which match the rest of the design. But that's just down to personal preference. Either way - great job

It is lovely. I am another one with a personal preference for the prototype though, it looked simpler somehow (Not that I would say no to either )

Firstly, I think the copper was better suited to the colour of the stone.

Secondly, making the same item for sale deminishes it as a special gift for your loved one
