We'll not be roasting until we get some cool weather (27 at the moment which is ridiculous) so we treated ourselves to some sausages from the local rare breed pigs - porc noir de Bigorre - with mash, veg and onion gravy. And left over queen of puddings from yesterday which is way too sweet for me but MrPP loves anything like that.
Off to collect horse muck and mend a motorcycle this afternoon so we'll eat tonight.

Like Bren it's stew and dumpilings which started cooking at 10 last night.

Fry up. I haven't got an oven at the mo so it's either go out for a carvery or cook something that doesn't require an oven. Fry ups are a rare treat so as I have the makings that's what I've decided on. If I go out I'll stay out and I'm in the middle of VAT returns which need to be done NOW.

Today I had veggie chicken, home made yorkshires, stuffing and then the rest from the plot

                Roast potatoes
Roast parsnips, carrots and mini onions (ones that didn't grow too well)
Steamed, kale, chard, garlic, mini leeks, bolted cauli curds

This is the days when I have a smile on my face and love my plot. Even the bits that didn't grow perfect.

Though my daughters favourites? The yorkshires... All that planting and sweating and she chooses the yorkshires. Oh well...

The OH works Sundays so for my Sunday lunch I had some tinned smoked maceral with sweetcorn and cous cous all mixed up in a bowl. Not very exciting but it was very nice

For lunch, I had a lovely big fat T***O wholemeal bun with sliced tomato and wafer thin wiltshire ham. Our evening meal was poached egg on wholemeal toast. We normally eat more substantial stuff but that was yesterdays meals
