Morning, yes pouring down all night here too, and it still is! Haven't been outside yet so don't know if any damage has been done. Hope you are all safe and sound from Frank!
Best of luck to your OH Lisa, hope all goes well and maybe having visitors will help cheer him up.

Grey day here with promise of rain later. It's very windy too, in fact OH didn't cycle to work. I have done the supermarket shop and done a few jobs in town, like paying in cheques. Quick cup of tea then I'm going to put a casserole in the slow cooker. Then it's time for a few decorations to come down.
Very blustery today, it's also dustman day.
Cardboard is flying around, the plastic bins haven't been emptied yet and everyone's plastic is in someone else's garden.
What a hoo ha.
Going for a quick trip to Sainsbugs in a moment, with the mantra in my head 'I must not buy any more Christmas labels'
Then hunker down and watch the rain.
Steak pie tonight yummy
Artnoon all. Nothing good about it though
So much rain this morning, there was a "stream" running alongside the house, forming a big puddle on the lawn. I live on a hillside, with the road outside running downhill and no road drains. The road was awash, with muddy streams. Just hoping the people at the bottom of the hill have put their sandbags out as it will end up in their front gardens.
The rain has eased off at the moment but we have lots more forecast for later.
Stay safe and dry everyone.
Apologies to all for my namesake storm. Been chucking it down all night here. Road drains can't cope and the street outside is like a lake.
Apart from that, all fine here
well for a change, plaudits to our local Council. They were out within an hour of me phoning this morning and the roadside gully traps on both sides of the street were cleaned out and no more lake, .
We've been out and done our last shop of the year. Went to AS*A where the carparking is underneath the store so we stayed dry
Good evening Folks, Jay, this part of Ayrshire has come out well, in comparison to other areas, all the fields along the river bank were under water earlier, but no property flooding reported as yet, and hope it stays that way. While on about the weather, we had put a warmer blanket on the bed, but needed to change it for a cooler one as the temperatures are so unseasonal. I have been quite busy this past week, we actualy had two mornings without any rain, and spread some seaweed over the flower garden, done some work in the greenhouse, I have some pallets which I will use to lift my bench up a bit, as leaning over the bench at the hight it is gives me a sore back. (wait I will have to think on that, thats my excuse to avoid housework) Well I wish you all a good night, and hope you all stay safe, and I am just wondering if we had to put the lighter blanket on because I am too hot in bed
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers
I may be a southerner now but I come from Cumbria where most of my family lives. The town I come from has got away lightly with just power cuts but my cousin lives just round the corner from the river in Kendal and she and her family have spent Christmas in a friends holiday home as their ground floor was 4 foot deep in water.
I've seen the photos and I wonder how she can be so upbeat about it.
