  • Morning all, wild here too SP, was thinking about you out on Mull! Eventually got to bed but it was hard trying to get some sleep with the wind and rain battering the windows. Bins were blowing everywhere...recycling today so they were light. Luckily ours is still upright. Hope the day is better where you are...have a good one!
Oh and Alfie is still asleep...do you think I should give him a shake?

      • Morning all, a wet and windy start to the week.we will wait and see.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

              • I should feel under the weather more often. OH has done the washing, washed up, sorted food out and made me endless cups of tea while I've been lounging around. What a star.

Glad I haven't been out today looks very cold and windy - but not that type of wind thanks BB
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                • Afternoon All. Braved the wind and rain to have birthday lunch for my son with the family at The Old Horns in Bradfield - beautiful scenery, good company and good food. Can't get warm since we got home!

Yes I hope there is a happy ending for poor old Edith in the Christmas special - surely they wouldn't be mean to end on a downer then!

                        • Funnily enough, I really like Mary's character (not the horrible to sister bit though). Couldn't live with her mind. Gawd she would be hard work

                            • Braved the wind and the rain and took myself off to town for the day.
Didnt find anything weird or wonderful but picked up lots of bits and bobs I have been meaning to get for ages .
Home now snd hubby making dinner as he thinks I must be tired out walking around town all day and he had a big fire going in the wood burner to cheer me up.

                                Hibou update!!!

Her eye and neck have improved enough for us to finally leave her in the care of friends and take our ( shortened ) 'Xmas trip' to visit family in the UK!

One of the gals hadn't seen her for a couple of weeks and was astounded at the change in the shape of her head...'almost normal'!

I really, really can't believe how lucky she has been ( now I can stress about her from afar even if I know she's in great hands!

                                also-

Will you all PLEASE stop talking about MILs???....I'm bracing myself for a few days of being with mine

Yeh- I watched DA too- the Xmas Spesh should rectify matters I'm sure
