    • Well just facetimed with my son in San Diego. I thought he was home on Thursday but he is actually home tomorrow. His bed is stripped and I'm in the middle of cleaning out his room, I was planning on putting it back together tomorrow at a leisurely pace... just as well he called he might have been spending a night at the airport!

Got to pick up my dad from the garage and take him back to pick his car up again today. Also got the dentist to have a filling in a wisdom tooth about 11ish . Always have some pain killers before I go so when the jab has worn off the pain killers are kicking in.
          Have a good day everyone

                • Morning all, bit of a drab day in London, but not too cold.
Hubby is in the garden clearing up after our neighbours Dwali fireworks.
Got to get all his bits together for his trip to Hong Kong/China at the end of the week.
I will be Billy no mates and all alone next week. Ha ha, the ladies who lunch from the charity shop are coming round Tuesday night for a very boozy night with an Indian meal as an aside.
Anyway, have a great day all.

                  • Morning...I'm up Scarlet!! No coffee for me, I have work to do!
It's dull and damp here after the deluge of rain we have had over the last few days but it is not raining, although it's forecast for later! Storm Abigail heading for Scotland tomorrow/Friday so hang on to your hat SP. High winds everywhere though so batten down the hatches
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing. Must go, work to do!

                      • Morning everyone Coming back to Earth today. Yesterday I was pretty much out of it, really knocked back with a stupid cold. But feeling more like normal now. And panicking over all the things I need to do before Christmad LOL.

Hope I haven't missed too much on here!

                        • Good morning everyone,
Bright and sunny here, i did end up going to the market yesterday and bought a load of onion seedling, i will plant out today along with the garlic and the cauliflowers i bought the other day. Just got to find space for everything.
OH is on a liquid diet for a couple of days, i will have to eat in secret so not to torment him.

                            • I will be in a carpark for the minutes silence as I have a site meeting in a quarry at that time. The meeting was arranged weeks ago but the people who have been working it for the last few years came up at 9.30am this morning that we are only allowed on site if we turn up in high vis vests and hard hats. They won't provide them. I asked my builder but he doesn't need his at the mo so has left his at home, so I slipped down the road and asked some friends who've been doing their own house up. They've borrowed them from their son's bedroom.

                              Sorted!

It's not really the type of attire I keep in my wardrobe although I do have safety boots from years ago when I worked for a papermill.

                              • We invested in high viz vests a few years ago before we set off on a holiday which involved a lot of driving across Europe. They still live in the car .

Holiday was super, drove across the top of France and then into Italy via the Gotthard tunnel. Aren't the Swiss really grumpy and do they really need to charge drivers a whole years licence for a one day trip in their country? Driving in the Tunnel was horrible, so monotonous and tiring.

Disappointing thing was we hoped to see a lot of the countryside but with the motorway type roads all banked up we saw very little.

Spent a few days in Venice, then Rome and home via Monte Carlo and then Dijon with some other overnighters in between. 400 miles a day was about the limit and I couldn't do that now.

Some really memorable moments like seeing a wee guy doing some weird squats and jumps at a comfort stop in France. Was so funny. In Rome A Gladiatotor saying to better half, " hey blondie, you want to have your photograph taken with me", she looked him up and down, smiled sweetly and then said no. Was a hoot. Ah, the memories
