Mind you thank goodnessit wasn't a music link you threw in there. I've been listening to all sorts - presently Abba -since clicking on Hazel's early morning contributions

          • Hi Shirl, its horribly wet here too!
Martha is so cute - the boot is about the same size as her. How old is she? Pups are great fun, aren't they?
I don't know whether you were on the Vine about this time last year, when my newly rescued dog Bess surprised me with a litter of 5 pups I kept 2 of them so now have 4 dogs!! Quite a houseful especially when they're all playing together.

            • I did read through the saga but don't recall whether I commented - I think I caught up with it after they had left home!

Martha was 13 weeks old on Wednesday. She is Miniature Dachshund crossed with Jack Russel - supposed to be 3/4 dachshund but we are not sure which way she is going to go. She is, however, the cutest thing. We only lasted a week without a dog - Ludo left such a huge dog-shaped gap we had to find someone to fill it and she is doing that job admirably. Madmax confesses he would like a 'pack of sausages'! This is the same guy who told me there was no way we would have another dog!!!!!!!!!!

              • God talk about wanting a lazy day and not getting it.
We were outside and the cat jumped onto one of the walls, talking so much to us. I said what on earth is around her neck, closer inspection she has a massive hole and skin flapping.
We stuff her in a box and got straight to the vets thinking we would have to put her to sleep, and worrying loads.
The vet did smile at our over reaction saying that she must have got into a fight with another cat and it had bit her, caused a abscess and had burst, it was not nice and had caused an infection and the skin will close u by itself eventually.
It is a pretty big hole though, she is now trapped in the house going mad as she is a country cat and lives outdoors and thats how she likes it.

Oh how these animals worry us. stress stress stress
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

                      • Evening all..

Horrible horrible day here; non stop rain.. Got a few jobs done indoors and " the boyz" as my 4 year old son calls us headed off for a haircut..

Now safely ensconced by the fire...
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

                        ...utterly nutterly

                        • All I've eaten all day is a bowl of cereal. I went out and bought a curry sauce (totally against my way) but I can't find a way of moving my belongings around in the lounge (where I'm living) to cook it, let alone get to the freezer for the meat. I did think of buying it in the supermarket, but when they expected £5 for 450 grms of meat I was very close to being vegetarian.

                          • Hi all, going slightly stir crazy here - my bl**dy arm far too painful to do anything at the lotty or home, so stuck with the lappy buying gardening supplies for when I can get outside again.

                            • good evening Folks, has got quite cold here now and some heavy showers, was out last night, and got caught in a thunder storm, one second walking into a high wind next trying to cover up in a hail storm, and I think there is too much of me to cover( but grateful its just hail) today had to take my wife out to exchange a christmas present toy, as she had got the wrong one, its a small electonic game thing with a high ...... price, and not one of the shop assistants wore a mask, what happened to good wishes and a tanner ball, when back home went and put up another roll of paper, am now wondering if I have been doing the papering too fast only two more rolls to go.
Well I wish you all a good night, and remember be grateful its just the weather we have to moan about, Goodnight

                              • Evening all. These dark evenings are making me sooooo tired and sleepy ...

I've spent most of the day crocheting a scarf. Got one made for my daughter now making one for my aunt. It's good to have an indoor hobby for when the days get horribly cold.

Enjoy the rest of your evening to anyone still up. I'm sloping off to bed.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
