  • Morning everyone
I'm sure it will be light enough to let my chickens out soon, it's a dark one this morning. Then I really need to pull my finger out and get things done ( rather than just thinking about it ). As I'm away on Thursday.
Where you got to now trip? Don't forget to bring some of that very nice Indian beer back for the GR

    • Morning all, looking quite nice, but chilly, outside.
I have left the snoring GG in my bed, she came to stay last night just as the dancing started. Should have pushed the record button. Never mind.
It's 8.45 am and I am the only one up. Jet lagged hubby and a GG that can sleep for England.
      It's sooo peaceful .........
      Have a great day everyone

          • It ain't half cold mum! A real foretaste of winter.

It was below freezing in my greenhouse for a solid 9 hours last night, with a low of -2.3c at around 6 am. I haven't been out yet to see how my lettuces liked it.

Looks like we will see the sun today though and the wind has dropped, so I'll wrap up and get out later.

Lisa I hope you stay well and the cold doesn't get you. Have a nice day, everybody.

                  • Evening all Bitterly cold here. Got down to zero degrees brrr. Cold enough for me!

Had a busy day. Had to sew on a load of brownie badges - not my favourite job. Daughter was singing in the school choir for the switch on of the local Christmas lights so we were stood in the cold a long time watching. Best bit was grabbing fish and chips on the way home. Can't understand how the weekend has gone so quickly - where did it go!

                    Snuggle up warm everyone
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                    • We stood in the cold this afternoon as well Marie, waiting for the Christmas tree lights to be switched on in our local village.
Didnt get fish and chips but got a take away instead.
                      and yes,, its seriously cold.
                      enjoy your evening.

The OH is cooking for the first time in 6 months. I put everything on the side e.i the lettuce, tomato, cucumber, tortilla wraps, quorn nuggets inside a oven bowl. It is easier for me to do that than being asked a million times where everything is!! i think he has chopped up everything ok and it nuggets smell nice so we will see

oh better remind him that they need to be taken out .

                        • Good evening Folks, a nice dry day here but very cold, managed to do some work in the garden, dug out some weeds?... unwanted growth, and having some financial newspapers, about a months supply, from a friend I discovered how good these papers are, do you know that a months supply of the financial ?, covers about 2sq. yards of ground and gives a good thickness also, I dont know how good their financial advice is but a great weed suppressant, I also note the artist formaly known as BM is enjoying retirment, must find out if its worth look forward too, I also note some of the better halves have been giving out tea and prepairing meals, glad my OH does not read this or she would be looking for that also, hope you enjoy your trip, Trip and come back home quickly, some one is needed to splash the cash at the GR. Well I wish you all a good night, and remember if you are feeling cold and want to snuggle up to get warm, tuck some newspapers around you below your undies and what nots,,,, your OH might have something more important to do, may see you at the GR later Goodnight
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                              • Morning all. Another cold night here last night. Covered the car up last night but the wind lifted some of the tarp from the windscreen so still had to get the de icer out and clear the screen.
Don't know what my plan of action is for today apart from tidying up after the kids again. Oh and get ready to play the tooth fairy again tonight as Wils second baby tooth has just fallen out.
