    • Good evening Folks, weather back to normal today, a dreight morning then a wet afternoon, with a heavy downpour as the grandchildren are coming out the school, jist as weel the skin is waterproof, I did spread more seaweed over the garden, while the rain was off, so thankful for that, OH was cleaning up the room I decorated, so now carpet need washed, and some rubbish put out,and its, we will tidy up the cupboards in the room, in hall and every other place she can think of, ye start in one corner and finish up full house, and for we read me, (a think Im on the wrong thread here it should be the rant one I should be on) Well I wish every one a good night and I see some people keep notes of the work they do in the garden, never tried that, the notes I like to keep are the pound ones Goodnight

          • Morning All Basking in the 8 degree heat - what a change from yesterday! The custard didn't split ladies, it was perfick, but at the edge was very moist and it was a bit on the sweet side. However, it was quite delicious so will be doing it again and tweaking it a bit.

            • Morning all. Had quite a bit rain last night so no frost this morning. Just weighed the artichokes I dug up yesterday and they came to 1.76Kg. So sending some across to my mom to try
Going to the allotment to drop off the fruit bushes I dug up for my dad. Probably help him plant them as well.

Another stunning day here! Heavy rain shower, it seems a bit warmer today. Lots to do, pack for my expedition on Thursday ( to Rhyl with a short detour via Middlesbrough ), make banana muffins, clean out 5 poultry houses between showers. Have a good day

                  • Morning all, still a bit nippy here in Nestland. Anyway must dash, have chooks to let out & more netting to put round pond as Houdini returned last night, how it gets over 5ft of netting & lands in such a small area is beyond me.

                      • Mornin all!
                        Everyone OK??

                        Hibou update...
                        finally, finally improving!...again
Eye 50% better and neck abscesses healing or draining well ( yep- yukkkk!)

She's certainly more lively too so we have to be extra specially careful again with doors and windows.
It must have got chilly last night because I woke up to find her in the bed between us under the duvet -which she's not done for months!

Bit too wet here to do much outside without getting soaked- so it's kitchen and sewing today.
If I can find the right coloured thread I might make some curtains for in there later on.

Think I'll light the wood fire again.

Something fishy about your tax returns, maybe? Sorry, couldn't help myself

Morning all! Its a bit damp but no frost so I'm not complaining. I have some agapanthus roots to pot up so that's my little job for today. Actually, it was my job for yesterday too
Have a great day everyone - hope the sun shines on you.

                            • Morning everyone It's a whole lot warmer but also very wet too. Can't have it all ways it seems. Got lots to get on with today and on my second coffee already trying to psych myself up.

Glad to hear Hibou is more lively - love to see a bit of cattitude Please be less descriptive about the draining of abscesses though Nicos!!! It does put me off my wee breakfast just a bit!
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
