I'm baaack!
Yup Flo back to sleep indeed...I was exhausted!
Janie...OH fixed our units in on Friday one step ahead of the guy cutting the work surface!...(we'd make them a couple of days earlier though!)
He's back today to fix them in place.
What a difference they make
You put on the units and suddenly the kitchen feels small and overcrowded, and then when the surface is in situ the room suddenly feels larger and the cabinates disappear to the side of the room.
Very strange, so don't panic part way through!"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Morning all, back to normal today. No more lazy days lol. A good nights sleep makes all the difference doesn't it.
Our staff get together today. All the 'oldies' have lifts organised, my hubby is ferrying a few of us.
Last year the food was really good, so fingers crossed.
My heart goes out to the folks that have been affected by the flooding, it's dreadful watching the news
Have a great day allNannys make memories

Morning all! I'm busy today too - I need to get a move on!
Nicos we missed you
Sally, I saw one woman on the TV, she looked totally stunned, had just had an offer on her house which had been up for sale . Christmas Eve 2013 our street was flooded. Thankfully it didn't get through my door, not sure how as my house is lower than the ground on one side (old house - no footings). Unfortunately several of my neighbours further down the road were flooded out (some with sewage) and had to move, one of the ladies is 93 they moved back in after 6 months and were then flooded again last September. So heartbreaking.

Morning from me too . Bit dreich and rain forecast but we have been fortunate here. We have friends in Kendal and also over beside Whitehaven. Having walked around Cockermouth after the major floods they had previously and seeing the major changes made there to the flood defences, it must be really awful for the folks there to be flooded again but watching the tv this morning, there seemed to be a sense of relief that it wasn't so bad this time around. I say not so bad but to me it still looks like devastation. With Xmas just over a couple of weeks away it must be heartbreaking as Scarlet says.

Morning all. Well its not raining, blowing a bit and the sun is trying to squeeze out, so looking more promising than the last few days.
Shopping for me today , wheres the time going.
Have a good day all.

And your hands begin to harden.

Morning all,
It is a holiday here today and tomorrow, so frustrating as could really get some bits from town. Today is Constitution day and tomorrow day of the immaculate conception, jesus these Spaniards come up with any excuse no to work I guess i will join in a not do that much the next 2 days, thing is Sunday everything is closed and its a half day on Saturday so i feel useless.
Its overcast and a bit chilly today so i will work in the PT i think, lots to plant in there.
Also want to plant a few more seeds.
Have a nice day guys xI grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

Enjoy your get together NS had to smile at you mentioning 'oldies' a friend of mine used to help serve teas to the 'oldies' at the local church one day she realised she was at least 10 years older than most of them. She still carried on but with a big smile on her face.Location....East Midlands.

Yeh...my granny used to go to her local 'old folks club' each week just to support it. I would often go with her as a toddler in the school hols and play dominoes.
I recall her saying that she loved me to go with her cos all the oldies there were boring and old.
And yep- she was 10 yrs older than most of them!
I 've been catching up on the news about the flooding...absolutely heart breaking.
My daughter lives up there but is fortunate enough to be on much higher ground...still, the landslides on some of the connecting back rural roads must make life even more difficult .
She says there are abandoned cars everywhere.
Where on earth do you start with all the clearing up????"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Morning all. It is finally looks as if it drying up here. Its been raining and been windy here for days. Not as bad at Cumbria and other parts of the country though. My aunty lives in West Yorkshire and she says that its been really bad there the rivers are very swollen but haven't burst.
So far today I have stripped the sofa cushions off and got them washed, vacuumed through and have got my ironing pile sorted.
Have a good day everyone.sigpic

Morning all,
More damage to one of my greenhouses unfortunately, but could be worse when you see all those affected by flooding
Other half's birthday today, so off out to get some (whispers) cake...I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
