Afternoon all dry here,
Poor peeps that are flooded again,
lost a lovely friend and neighbour,was only talking to her wed morning,cannot take it in,several of us in our road are in shock,awaiting info,RIP friend,was hoping to loose myself down the lottie for a bit,but the ground is sodden,

Back home safe and sound after my shopping trip.
It was tough in the city today. The busses were packed, the shops had long queues and I had a heavy jacket which had me melting away in the stores.
Then in and out of the fitting rooms.
Clothes off, clothes on.
WILL i buy it, will I not.
At least now I am just about finished.

I was thinking thank goodness my family in Cumbria live on a hill but had forgotten about my cousin in Kendal who is just round the corner from the "flood barrier". Her ground floor was/is 4ft under water. I'm too far away to help.

Janie, sorry to hear about your cousin in Kendal. Even though I don't know your family, it makes the disaster so much more real when you hear of someone affected by it.

Nothing much to report here! Put some washing out to dry this morning! Why do dogs pinch socks and things out of the laundry basket and hide them in their beds. Its no wonder I have so many pairs of odd socks

Can I vent on here?
My ex husband (father of my 3 children over 20 years) went into hospital today to have an operation for cancer. He hasn't spoken to me for 8 years because my solicitors sent him a form that he misunderstood without my say so.

I still love the silly man to bits but don't want to get back with him. I miss his friendship and his humour. I've sent him a letter saying how I feel. It can't make things worse and I really hope it makes things better.

I'm really, really scared that we don't sort things out before one of us dies.

good evening Folks, raining when i got up this morning, but had to go over to the coast, so while there I bagged some seaweed,( always cut a stick when you see it) did get a bit wet but hopeing it will be worth it with good results next year, while the rain was off I removed some old plants from the raised beds, which went into the compost bin. I see BM is MOM this month, congratulations, BM your art work is fantastic, I sometime wish I was able to do things like that, but I will just have to be content with good looks It was dry when I picked up the grandchildren from school which makes a change, but again now back to rain the grandchildren are used to three toilets in their home and I only have the one, so when they come in from school there is always a que for the toilet, and guess who is always last.
Well I wish you all a good night, and I will need to consider putting in an other toilet, I will never hear the end of it from OH if the kids see me adding accelerator to the compost, I think there is a bit of jealousy there because she cant go alfresco, plus the male P is better Goodnight
Oh and thank you for the MOM does that stand for man of the month

Just listening and watching the news. Where in most of my posts I have a moan about the rain, it is nothing compaired with what these poor folks in the border area and beyound have had to put up with. I do hope they come out of this with the minimum of pain and keep good health, God bless and may He give you strength to come through this.

Today we will mostly be fitting the kitchen floor and making drawer fronts!

OH knocked the temporary wall down between the kitchen and the lounge yesterday so although ridiculously messy and dusty/gritty everywhere, I'm beginning to feel I'm getting my home back!

Morning all! Sorry to hear about your friend Lottie.
I'm shattered this morning, someone had a bad case of snoring last night (no alcohol involved) I'm not telling you who it was either ! Any remedies to stop it will be happily received....

Grey and windy here, no rain. I watched more flooding reports last night (I don't do TV but I need to watch that!) one poor woman was sobbing bitterly,just 3 weeks before Christmas too waiting for it to go down so they can start again must be so hard. They've got a lot more hardwork and heartache to go.
