  • Afternoon all, well it is here.

I have not been out the house that early in a very long time, its not normal to be up and out whilst it is dark!!! Just about to have some brekkie but it feels odd. Went to the market whilst i was out came home with lots of little plug plants. So must plant them all out the next couple of days.
Just bought Dusty a new bed, its massive and he has not left the middle of it since we got back, he is such a lazy boy He is too big to share our bed with us.

Is everyone ready only a couple more days?

Have a lovely day everyone x

    • Just been and bought our veg for Friday and Saturday. Flowers also. One day earlier than I was going to, good job we have two fridges.
In fact, we bought lots on account that we had a £10 off £50 shop at Lids.
The wind is blowing a gale out there, so glad to be indoors
Done all that, must remember to get the meats out of the freezer in time

      • Just stopped to take a break. Looking out the window and the sky is pink where the sun is setting.
on the other side the moon is high in the Sky.
Its twilight and looks quite striking.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

        • I'm so,so tired. The skip arrived at 7.30 this morning and myself and a friend started filling it at 10am. Her OH turned up after work to help at 1.30. 2 others who were supposed to turn up were contacted and asked not to as the skip was full. I tried to get the skip swapped but it was too late in the day so I still have a lot of rubbish to get rid of. Oh well it will still be there in the New Year.

My carpets were laid this morning, so I can now move back into my bedroom. The bed I thought I'd got on Freecycle was picked up by someone else Grrrrh.

I have ALL my Christmas shopping to do tomorrow. The list is enormous, and to add to this I've had to go to the bank and take enough money out to pay for it as some complete w@nk3r has cloned my card which has now been cancelled. The bank have refunded 1/2 of what was taken, the rest will be refunded when the police give us a crime number, probably after Christmas.

At the moment I'm sat down with a glass of wine. The first break all day. But (in daylight) I can now see my patio.

I suspect I'll be allowed to relax on Saturday. I can't wait!

I so wish. Enjoy Carrie. I will, however, follow your lead and have a takeaway.

              • I'm trying to work out how I get my wellies off. I've ordered a boot jack but it's delivery date is somewhere in the middle of January. I think/know I'll be suffering from trench foot by then. The reason for the problem is that I have a high instep and have always had problems with boots, not necessarily wellies. Getting them on is sort of difficult, getting them off is a nightmare.

Suggestions of a temporary boot jack gratefully recieved.

                  • Good evening Folks, it was actualy a nice day here for a time, and I managed to get some work done, I was in the greenhouse for a while, when its high winds I just dont go near it, and also got some fences sorted, my OH shouted me in for a cup of tea and as she was in the conservatory I went there and sat down, and there in front of me were a pair of glasses I thought I had lost, I have three pairs and am forever losing them as I was down to my last pair I could feel I was heading for an other lecture (wives seem to like lecturing) so thats one avoided, though she will have one in her book to cover that, I will need to find this Book of Lectures, (for errant husbands)
Well time to say good night, I hope you all get a chance to relax over the next week, and I hadnt lost my glasses, I just couldnt remember where I had left them. Goodnight

                    • Rary, I've got several pairs of glasses around the house. If I've forgotten to take the current ones around any of the others will do. I do not get lectured by another half nor do I lecture one. I wish.

                        • Janie I have enough glasses its remembering where I put them that's the problem, and knowing I could get a lecture if I get caught out, is half the fun of avoiding it

Heh, heh. I have the same problem without the lecture. Be thankful for the lecture.

                            • Good Morning All and Nicos Much, much colder this morning. Wrapped the last parcel last night. I'm sure I must have wrapped presents every night for about 3 weeks! Food being delivered at lunchtime so Himself will probably put things in all the wrong places, but I'll spare him the lecture
                              Have a good day

                              • Morning Flo

A tad over 7 degrees here, so markedly colder than off late, really looking forward getting out over the plot today, I really have had enough of town centres and naff brass bands!

No doubt the usual distribution of home made paint stripper will be flowing freely over the plot today

                                Have a great day all
