Good Morning All. Feel for you Jack, both the joy and the sorrow. Not as foggy here today, but really damp. Four days of work this week and next so a lovely long weekend off - can't wait. Have a good one

Morning everyone The cat is in trouble because her antics kept us up most of the night - she was clearly in a very silly mood. Every time we started to nod off again she did something else including racing up and down the stairs, playing loudly with her toys over the wooden floors, sitting on my head and pawing my face. She is now sleeping while I had to rush about for the school run. Typical.

Good news is I got a load of free bubble wrap to use for the polytunnel. It might not be premium stuff but it will help to keep the chill out at least.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Oh, sorry to read your news Jack.

Morning all, I've the energy of a slug I won't be doing much today. Perfect day to bond with the dog, settee, fire and a cuddle with Stan.

I agree with Lisa, animals break your heart when they go but it's no reason to stop having another one. Stan appreciates every second he's with us, he's a super happy pup, life in a dogs home just wouldn't be the same. If VC hadn't twisted my arm after my old dog went I wouldn't have had the pleasure of his company. The good times far outweigh the sadness when they go.

A wee bit slow on the vine today. Lots of shiney up here early on but clouded over a bit now. Think I'll nip out for a walk while it's still dry

Today we tried the Tatsoi that's been growing in the polly. Never tried this before and thought it was good. I liked it more than the choy sum which is a lot of stalk - tatsoi has loads of leaves on it which means more to eat on each one so I'd grow them again. The bigger leaves are strong enough to use as wraps too. Hubby tried one leaf and only because I insisted. Need to try and improve his green variation of either peas or leeks ...

Hope everyone has had a good day. I shall plod on with some crochet this evening I think.
