          • I'm back in, I put the car on hold as it started raining but did venture up the ladder as the leaves needed clearing out so all's well in the gutter region. May do some more seed sheets.

            • Well trip to town with grandson was cancelled due to the heavy rain, we will do it tomorrow as thats his birthday.
Spent the morning washing down all the presses and drawers in the kitchen and I have to say they look so much better.
A horrible tedious job but its done now.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

              • Well that was a long day and pointless, just a middle man you need to visit to give you a form to take to the next person. But so far so good. Everything is looking good. He gets stabbed multiple times tomorrow.
                Thanks for your support x

                • Sorry to hear there was a lot of waiting around Lisa. But all good wishes for tomorrow.

Think I overdid it stretching up and down to fit bubble wrap in polly. Back is aching so put a hot water bottle between it and the chair. Good news is I can't do much right now except a bit of browsing the tinternet. So I think I can manage that

Haven't heard any fireworks yet - maybe the rain is putting people off? Feel sorry for the poor animals who don't like it.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                  • Got the kitchen, utility room and conservatory clean. Inspected the workshop and garages, which all seem to have leaks and decided we need to get an electrician in - nowhere near enough sockets in the house and having looked at the fuse box, thinking we might as well have a complete re-wire

                    • A few fireworks here, I'm sure they will hang on for the weekend. I still remember the trauma bonfire night caused our cat Michael.
He wouldn't have coped with all the different excuses for let's burn money and upset animals that we have now.
Just had a lovely tea - smoked haddock, creamy mash, peas and sweetcorn. Yummy
                      Have a lovely evening all

                      • Evening All!
Lisa, your seeds have arrived, thanks. All the best to Mr Lisa tomorrow.

Fireworks have started though not too near us yet. Radio on loud, doors shut and I've drawn the imaginary curtains! Took them down to wash when the new window was fitted and think I'll leave them down. They weren't really big enough anyway and the dogs kept playing with them
Hope you all enjoy/get through this evening peacefully.
