I am really gutted for my sister and her family. They worked so hard in getting her better and thought they had turned the corner with the diagnosis of Cushing's disease and the new medication seemed to of kicked in. So sad
((((HUGS)))) from me and my hooligans. I kniw Horses often get Cushings disease (tumor on the pituitary gland ) but wasn't aware of it in dogs.

      • Good morning,
Lovely sunny saturday morning. Clearing out the bedroom and preparing it for painting, been meaning to do it since we moved out here.. I would rather chill and relax outside though.
I do not have to cook tonight as we are going out to the new Indian, really looking forward to it as its been open for a while and its been tempting me for ages.

        Have a good day x

        • Morning it's chucking it down here too. Had to force the dogs out this morning! Son has just facetimed (if that's a word) me from LA...I'm not the least bit jealous. They are up there from San Diego for the weekend to see a hockey game and got upgraded to a fabulous suite at the hotel so they just wanted to share!! Me, I'm just up still in my dressing gown looking as though I've been dragged through a hedge backwards...do I really want to see this? How the other half live?

          • Morning all - grey and wet again today. Depressing! Hard to motivate myself to do something meaningful. I did a bit of Christmas shopping yesterday and did my grocery shop and the washing and whipped the hoover round.

Going to the Film Theatre tonight (on my own!) to see 99 Homes - a film I do want to see, but also to stop me sitting in front of TV eating

Have a good day, whatever you are doing.

            • Morning all. We had a lot of rain overnight and I thought it had passed but it has now started again.
My plans for pitch and putt are on hold at the moment until the weather makes up its mind.
              Have a good day all.

                • Good morning,

It's raining here too. I am doing nothing today, not going out. But going to catch up on cleaning, washing, GYO mags and loom knitting.

                  Have a good day

                  • FUN.
I absolutely love all the little fun things on here. When there is a wet day, having a cuppa, nothing to watch on the tv or sometimes need to destress, its nice to have somewhere to interact with others.
I have never met any of the people on here but feel some of them have become my friends.
You can almost get a feel for those you know you would get along with if you ever met them.
Its also a good place for those people who are housebound through illness or other conditions.
Long may it last is what I say.
When the good weather returns we will all be back to the gardening and no harm done.

And your hands begin to harden.

                    • Third day consecutive day of rain here. School work Saturday. trying to get it all done as Sunday looks like it might be drier. been to get my seeds from the allotment secretary so if I get finished I might rearrange my seed packets.
Percy cat excelled himself last night. Not content with mice, voles, shrews and frogs, when I went down at silly o'clock he had just brought in a young rat! Yuck! It was a youngster but still quite big. He's sleeping off last night's excesses now. Mind you, so is Evie but she doesn't bring things in.

                        • Wohay, netflixs has finally come to Spain, we used to be able to watch through a different ip address but they used to change it all the time. So we ended up giving up, all the wasted hours of watching tv has come to my household, just in time for winter.
I do not have any tv not even Spanish as we are not big watchers, but love our series and films we have them downloaded.

                            • Well at least our house benifited from the wet weather.
House hoovered from top to bottom.
                              Wooden floors swept and washed.
Furniture polished, and now we are both whacked.

Absolutely fine, thank you for asking. Can't even see the scar now and his night time rodent hunting vision has in no way been impaired.
It gives me hope for Nico's Hibou as we were beginning to despair of healing but suddenly it was better.
