On a more serious note that is what I like about the Vine your posts about growing onions are a perfect example of that for which I give you thanks

Rary, the Vine is a huge source of knowledge with loads of people willing to share it and their experiences.
We all make mistakes from time to time and even sharing these can save others time and perhaps money but especially disappointment.

The Onion thread was kinda special for lots of reasons but particularily because so many folks took part in it. Your comment much appreciated.

Finally lit the fire about 30 mins ago (first of the season), wow i cannot believe the heat it kicks off i forgot how good it was. Now i feel too hot. Will have to buy a lorry load of logs.

Am absolutely exhausted today, seem to have been running around like a headless chicken all day and i really can not see that much for all my efforts. Did plant the 210 onion seedlings and 30 garlic.

Put in a potato for a jacket tonight as i cannot be bothered to cook.

Evening all. Well had my filling done and dentist has decided I need a type of gum shield to wear at night to stop me grinding my teeth at night. Got to pick that up next week.
Was a taxi for my dad today getting him to and from the garage as he managed to get his car fixed.
That's about it really. Not done much as I had to make sure I was ok after the jab. I had a nasty turn once.

Really don't do that, it's supposed to be fun! Remember that the sprinkles you put on the dining Room table or the freshly cleaned window will only be noticed by you. Don't worry about it.

Good evening Folks, not done mutch today, dry this morning but everythings soakin so unable to do much outside went to the greenhouse looked at the mess of it, so out and shut the door will get to it some time. I was looking at some of the other posts and I see craftymarie has started one for four letter words, but no real four letter words, didnt want to spoil her thread by asking what a real four letter word was also noviceveggrower I know what you mean, after getting a jab you have to be careful I had a nasty turn once also, I paid for lunch that day not done any decorating today, I must have done too much yesterday and to aswer VC. Rome wasnt built in a day
Well I wish you all a good night, and any one looking for a handyman, let me know when you get one I could let him do some work here, and I wouldnt charge him for the experiance. Goodnight

Goodnight everyone, we have finally put a tv in our bedroom and i have got obsessed with a series so going to go pour a glass of red and watch a episode or two

Evening All
Spent this morning clearing the tomatoes out of the GH, in the company of 3 dogs and a little woodmouse who's been living in my old shoe.
The pups love tomatoes and pick their own!! Spud also likes pears and seems to find all the fallen ones that I've missed. He brings them into the house and chomps away, as if they were bones.
This evening I added a new User to my computer. Its me really with another name.
The systems' email amused me:-

"Carole would like you to join their family as an adult."

Does that mean I'm supposed to act responsibly? Should I have opened a child's account for myself instead?

Evening All

This evening I added a new User to my computer. Its me really with another name.

VC, since my better half's pc managed to screw up the profile on her computer and I was only able to sort it by editing its registry using info I was able to access on my computer, I now have an extra user name on mine and better half has also. The profile for my using user name got screwed up recently and I was able to get up and going with the minimum of fuss simply because I had the extra user name to fall back on. Everyone should have at least two user names on their computer . Can't stress that strongly enough

Spent most of the day cleaning the pond filters - yuk! then putting up 5ft netting all round the pond in the hope that Mr H doesn't get to George. Hope you've all had a productive day apart from Rary................

Been a busy few days, so haven't been on much..
I'm still loving this mild weather, its great

Have to start thinking about what I'll need for my trip to India.... Got some advice today to bring a bottle of whiskey with me and have a nip each night to kill any bugs in the stomach that may cause problems...
Sounds like reasonable advice to me

Whereabouts are you going? Some places where I went there was no alcohol or meat allowed. Wine costs a fortune there whiskey sounds good the one thing I couldn't do without was those tiny bottles of handwash.
