Being absolutely battered here with storm force wind and driving rain.
all the house lights on as it is so dark and miserable.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Good afternoon Folks, have a few minutes before going to pick up two of the grandchildren from after school activitsting, two in the house oldest streched out "resting" youngest in toilet will shout me when required, the wind starting to pick up a bit hope its not too bad (I dont like high winds) Got some leaves lifted to day which helped tidy the place up a bit, but not been near the papering, been too busy picking up christmas presents (to be store at our house) by the time christmas comes the house is like a warehouse. Well have to go now and will be out tonight and wont be back on the Vine, so I wish you all a pleasant evening, and remember if you are bothered by the wind, disolved bicarb. was good for that Goodnight .it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Stay safe everyone I hate gusty winds.
Had a good day clearing brambles (Nothing personal Bramble)! Still some way to go before that bit of the garden is clear - and I don't know what I'll do with it when it is Probably let it get overgrown again while I make up my mind
Settling down now, to an evening of playing with seeds

Not too bad here so far. Rain has gone off but it's a little windy but nothing major. Warning of power cuts in parts of Scotland. That's ok I've always got hundreds of candles...guess what? I have six left. Fingers crossed I don't have to use them. Hope you all miss the worst of Abigail tonight!sigpic

Well I had an early start in the glorious sunshine this morning. Managed to cut both front and back lawns. Cleared up fallen apples. Dug over a bit of a patch and planted some daffodil bulbs. A bit of general tidying and just as I was getting kna..ered the weather decided to change - great excuse to call it a day!!
Really enjoyed it out there this morning tho!
Hope everyone is going to be cosily tucked up out of the super-strong winds!~~~ Gardening is medicine that does not need
a prescription ... And with no limit on dosage.

Good evening,
I have just dragged my legs in through the doors, been a very long day and up and out very early tomorrow. Thankfully we have planned a lazy, work free weekend i need it after the last few weeks.
The chicken man did not have any broccoli plants so i chose 5 cabbage seedlings instead apparently they will be big.
I am falling asleep so good night to you all xI grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them
