Chimney sweeps just been. I've got a new one cos my lovely old one has just retired. This one was a miserable old so and so. He said, "any problems", I said "yes, we are getting a bit smokey in my bedroom."I know it's cos of the jackdaws sticking sticks up the top and nesting up there. It's a big chimney. OH, said could he check it, sweep said he would. Did he h@ll! He cleaned it, a ton if stuff came down, wrote me a receipt with "do not use, defective - get chimney stack checked and vent it. Cheeky s@d! I'm gonna find me a different one.

Good evening all.
Jam, dont mention jam until next year at least.
Spent yesterday afternoon and a good chunk of today making jam.
Dont get me wrong, I actually like making it but its so time consuming.
washing and steralising the jars,
washing, peeling, stoning and top and tailing the fruit.
weighing and measuring the fruit and sugar.
stirring and getting splashed.
And ofcourse, all the clearing and washing up afterwards.
Having said all that, I am now the proud owner of 25 pots of gooseberry and blackcurrant and apple and plum jam.

And your hands begin to harden.

And Nutters!
Feeling stressed at the mo - too much to do, not enough time, and Mr. Wonderful is being stroppy and unhelpful. He doesn't like change, I know, but there's no need to be ruddy awkward is there? If he was to help with the task, it would be so much quicker!

Evening all. Been a busy day doing various jobs. Then my xmas present arrived from my sister. Its a new soup maker so have tinkered about with it and made some fairly edible vegetable soup.
Estate agent guy came to check our water supply, a new government law, and he went up to check our loft to see if there was any old heating stuff up there. There isn't but did find that we'd had bats up there. Not there now though. Think they have moved two doors up.
Went through all of my seeds today. Even counted the ones I had stashed away. I have 104 veg and herb seeds and 30 flower ones
Have a good evening everyonesigpic

Soooooo tired. Several days of painting and decorating, moving floorboards and generally a lot of hard work. Today I didn't have to be in for deliveries so took the opportunity to go and choose tiles, wallpaper, blinds and try and get some more paint for my bedroom as it needs another coat. The colour's been discontinued so my buying it when it was on offer hasn't been such a good idea after all. I now have to get as near as possible made up on Dulux's mixer thingy.
I then had a meeting tonight that went on 'til 9.45. They're not allowed to go on later as it's against the rules. Long and boring and I just wanted to go home and sleeeeep. Now I'm here I can't.
I have to be up and awake in the morning as my kitchen units are arriving between 7 and 11 am."I prefer rogues to imbeciles as they sometimes take a rest" (Alexander Dumas)

Actually, I took my friend to some shops she's never been in. They're rather expensive and I can't afford to shop in them either but.... they don't do pile it high and sell it cheap so you can find similar stuff much cheaper in other places but the expensive shops can give you a better idea of the settings.
I loved seeing her face when she picked up glasses with real gold in them and the beautiful china and bed linen."I prefer rogues to imbeciles as they sometimes take a rest" (Alexander Dumas)

Good evening to You all, I have been busy all evening printing off some photos, and not being too good with the computer I couldnt come on to the vine at the same time, however reading through the posts I have to wonder what we are all like, some are painting windows .(I usualy paint the frames) why not fit a board over them and save painting, others getting the chimney swept, (do you know we used to put the soot on the garden)and the woman thing, having a look through shops without intending to buy anything, and counting seeds, I usualy just go with number they put on the packet
Well I wish you all a good night, its time to go to bed, as being the perfectionist that I am I need to be well rested, I have found that when you are tired you make mistakes, like saying you will do something or go somewhere, when she takes advantage of you when you are inspecting your inner eyelids. Goodnightit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
