  • Another week and the weather is as miserable as ever. Dull, wet and windy. Another indoor day methinks. I hate being stuck indoors but needs must ad its too miserable to go out.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

    • Morning all the rain/sleet has appeared to have stopped at long last, chilly but not cold although I believe it has to be really cold during the night tonight with snow tomorrow but as AP says it's to be much milder later in the day! Congrats on all the Xmas Fair successes, hope Dusty is feeling better Lisa, have a great day all, whatever you are doing!

      • Morning!!
Don't let the weather get you down - the forecast is for rain easing off, temperatures climbing and plenty of sunshine.

Only problem is - that's April
Have a happy Monday - be Good

          • Afternoon everyone. On line a bit later today as I have just taken my mom shopping. It took over an hour and a half to go around the supermarket and that's with a shopping list. Think she is going into Doomsday prepping mode again.
Raining here again today. So outside jobs are going to have to wait again.
Hope Dusty is feeling better soon Lisa.
            Have a good day everyone

Thats true Nicos. I' m struggling with Christmas coming up as its the first year without my mother. Its still raw after four months. Seems so much longer, but I know it won't always be like this.
              Thank you.☺

              • Bramble, It does get better. When we lost my father in law it was devastating for the family. Over the years the hurt has gradually been replaced with happy thoughts of when we had him. 17 years down the line we still toast him at Christmas but can talk about him without too much sadness, only happy thoughts like, do you remember when....! I promise it will get easier after this first Christmas! X

                • Bramble, the first Christmas, first birthday, first anniversary - they're the worst. After that, it becomes easier. If you can, break with your own traditions, do something completely different, something you wouldn't have done before. Go out for dinner, go away for a break or just put your feet up and eat a ready meal - with a bottle of summat nice.

                  • I like the idea of breaking with tradition- keep the best and bypass the others.
Always a particularly difficult time of year though anyway x xx

Thank you for your best wishes for the Kingsbury 10k - the rain kept off (just about!) but it was blustery and absolutely sodden underfoot - here's what my legs looked like afterwards...

it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
