Good afternoon all,arrived home at lunchtime,we had a fab time with the GGS,lots of cuddles and fun time,GGD was to shy so we got no cuddles,she would not get her face from her mums front,it was nice to see them all again
the one thing i am disapointed about is the little dog,she is due anytime,and there was i,hoping to see VC experience first hand with me camera,but no,i await further news and pics to share ,the weather was fowl,it dried up as we neared home,nice to go away,and equally nice to come home,,i did miss not looking in here,i tried to on my phone,but for some reason,there was nowhere for me to sigh in,like on the big screen at home,i could get a shuffle around as an onlooker,plus it was so slow loading up ,it drained the battery fast,so i gave up,hope you all had a good weekend

Doing some accountancy stuff for a customer today. Then I'll put another coat of paint on the dining room wall. Just been in to check if the new ceiling needs another coat too and we have a leak coming through. Plumber is on his way.

They finished putting the boiler and plumbing in yesterday and fired it all up. I have heating and hot water for the first time in over 2 years. The only bit I haven't got is the kitchen sink which can't be plumbed in until they do the worktops.

I have 2 Trust meetings tonight after which we are supposed to be having our Town Council Christmas drinkies.

So apart from the leak it's a good day.

My day:
Took two buses, taking a total of two hours to the law courts. Waited around for 1.5 hours for the trial to get going. Usher arrives to tell all 15 of us we can go home as the judge thinks the trial will run on past the end of the week and he isn't available. Repeat bus journeys in reverse. At least I wasn't at work but only one juror is retired so that means 14 working days have been wasted. Try again tomorrow.

Good evening all. A very productive day. Went in to town and tracked down the gift for my son, eventually.
Home and delivered birthday gift to my daughter-in-law.
Spent the afternoon wrapping gifts and writing Christmas cards.
All Christmassy things done. The tree is up, house decorated, gifts wrapped, cards written. Just have to do the grocery shopping now.

Good evening Folks, another cold wet start today, it was one of those drizzly mornings eventualy stopped but stayed cold, had to collect one of my grandsons from school as he was sick, and was informed a number of children had been sent home, I hope the other three stay ok. a couple of posts ago I mentioned that there was something I was expected to do the folowing day, it was to clear out a cupboard of all my rubbish so OH could use it for her more important things from the kitchen (rubish) but unfortunatly have not managed to do it yet, I have been so busy, but will get to it (when I run out of excuses) I did a wee bit of painting for my daughter touching up a ceiling and got some paint over me so Im off to get a shower. So I wish you all a good night, and remember if you are doing any painting, try not to be overcome with emulsion. Goodnight

Yep...I really am awake for the day

Having slept most of yesterday and having had an early night I'm all up to date with sleep!

Flipping waste of a day...remind me not to catch anymore tummy bugs please!

Exciting day ahead...
Am collecting my mom from the airport, but on the way calling in at !kea to change some hinges, buy a couple of bar stools ( exciting!!?) and of course some storage boxes.
If we have time, might grab a coffee before heading off to the airport ( 10 mins away from !kea)

Kitchen update....
Half tiled. Bit more painting to do, few more cupboard doors to go on, install the cooker, and OH to make 3 large doors from floorboards and then tis done!...ready for moving stuff back in!( I've already started filling some of the cupboards!)
And then my lounge can be reclaimed and made festive!
Moi ? ....excited?....you bet!

Oh...and just wanted to share with you that, as well as listening to the rain on the window I can hear a mouse in the insulation munching on a hazelnut!

I'm up and about too! Morning Nicos and anyone else who is up. Kitchen is mostly in. Still have worktops and floor to go in. The cooker hob is useable but no oven as yet as it hasn't been connected to the electrics yet. I think the tiling will have to wait until after Christmas. Like you Nicos I'm about to get my lounge back.

Today I'm having a day off painting and decorating as I'm having coffee and then lunch with an old school friend. We're going to have a mooch round the Outlet Village. I might even do some Christmas shopping although where I'm going to store things when I get back I don't know. We started school together on the same day over 60 years ago.

Morning all, dull here - again
Our Daughter and the GG visited last night, lovely surprise, so that's me beef all eaten up lol
She had cleared out her understair cupboard. Most of it destined for the charity shop and is now in our spare room.
She seems to be making progress with these new tablets, hope so, been a long road. Her relationship with her fiance is making progress as well.
Might be a Mery Christmas after all

I'm back, after partying Saturday I was very sick Sunday I really getting to old for this! Yesterday I had friends around for dinner, had to take sons clarinet in to be repaired and a trip to the dentist so I was very busy. I'm going to take it easy today...just gonna pop out and get my tree
