  • Carrie Ikea is very busy and the whole store flows just like you've stepped on a conveyancer belt so you can only escape is you know the secrets exits. I've been a few times for my craft rooms storage and some kitchen things but its Mr Pots ambition never to go there.
    Location....East Midlands.

    • Wait until after ChristmasCarrie unless you want to be knockedover in the crowds anddont go when the kids are off school. ☺

My OH won't go again either

Well, I've been to Salisbury today. My boys were booked in for their theory driving test...the trouble with being a twin is that I knew one would come out smiling the other feeling viscous so cruel. Perhaps I should have booked them in on separate days? It's gonna be a bumpy evening.......

        • Oh dear^^^ Have they drawn blood yet?

My trip to the hospital was reasonably uneventful - for a change! The wheel chair and the stiff leg fitted in the car without a problem. On the way back, my neighbour asked me to go to the post office to post a letter. I left her in the car while I joined the long queue. When I got back to the car she was sitting, very still inside. I waved and she just smiled, didn't move an inch. I opened the car, sat down and she breathed a great sigh of relief.
Without thinking about it, I'd locked the car when I left her - and this had set the alarm. Each time she moved, she set off the alarm. She didn't dare to get out as her crutches were in the boot!!
How we laughed!! I'm sure her hearing will recover soon!
          Everyone happy?

Fab story VC. Reminds me of when my sister inlaw put her car keys on the seat to strap her baby girl in and shut the door, walked around to the drivers seat and her toddler son pushed the interior lock button down all the coaxing in the world wouldn't get him to press that button again.....little bu@@er!

                • Good evening Folks, the day started with a light smurr, you know something falling but barely wetting you, and mild, when it stopped I decided to start cleaning out the flower beds, although the ground is still wet I need to get it cleaned out, I have quite a number of crocosmia in the garden which I was going to clear out but was told by OH to leave them in the garden, so ever obedient they have been left in, I hope its dry tomorrow as I have a ot to do. Well I wish you all a good night, and just thinking, the crocosmia are called Lucifer, there must be a family connection. Goodnight

                  • Evening all, well I'm just using you as a sounding board...hope that's ok? Took dog to the vet this evening turns out his tumour is worse than we thought...how long is a piece of string was the answer when we asked how long he had! Tonight he's happy in himself, eating no problem. Let's see if he sleeps tonight! Son is devastated as he is off to America for three months on 28th. Lots of tears tonight.
Well on that happy note I will wish you all a goodnight!

                      • Thanks VC he is a wee fighter, has had a rotten time since more or less he was born 12 years ago, but always manages to cling on, this will beat him but I'm hoping he is here longer than they think!

Loved your story VC, made me smile!

Aww Scarlet, son no. 1 will get there. Our son, at 17, was a great driver but just couldn't pass his hazard perception test. After 4 attempts a friend gave him a DVD to practice on. Hey presto next attempt, full marks. Passed his practical 1st time. That was nearly 10 years ago, he still laughs about how upset he was at the time! Lots of luck for his next attempt!
