  • Morning all...

Had a lovely relaxing night with the family after a seriously busy and mega pressure week in work..
Played Frustration after dinner, then watched The Santa Claus movie with kids, and finally started watching a drama series called Secrets and Lies.

Off to town today with the kids to do some shopping and see the Christmas lights etc and then a meal out..we do it every year, so is a little tradition now
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

    • Morning All 14c and drizzly.
I must be feeling festive today - I've just wished a man and his dog "Merry Christmas"! They looked surprised too - especially the dog.
Hope the Under the weather Grapes soon feel better. Don't want you "Baard in bed, under the doctor" as they say round here!
A week today, we'll be looking forward to leftovers Yummy, leftover beans on toast!

      Have a good day everyone.

      • Hi all
Getting stir crazy, so going to the lotty for a mooch around. I know I won't be able to do any of the jobs I want to get done and I'll be depressed about it when I get back, but at least I'll be able to chat with a few plotholders probably.
I've put so much weight on while being off sick - I've weighed 10 1/2 stone since my early 20's and now, after a few weeks of inactivity, I'm 14 stone!
Hope your cheeks are feeling better lisa btw - presuming you mean the upper ones

        • I was going to say good morning but its almost lunch time. Had a very late night in my friends house. Three couples who take it in turn to host dinner, drinks and a trip down memory lane with a sing along as my friends OH plays guitar. We have been friends for 65 years having started primary school together and living just yards apart from each other. To me, this is what Christmas is all About. Family, friends and friendship.

            • Good evening Folks, ....just checking to see if I have a sore shoulder like Skeggi,,, no, must be the inactivity thats pileing on the weight. It has been very mild here today and warmer than some of the days we had in summer, but quite blustery, the ground is still too wet for doing any work, and I was hopeing the wind would dry it out a bit but the rain is back on, took OH out for lunch (she paid) now setteling down for the night, just thinking we are like business partnership with Her being the major chare holder, as she commandeers whatever chair she wants, and I take whats left. Well I wish you all a pleasant evening, and I suppose I better behave if I want to stay a sleeping partner Goodnight

              • I hate people so much sometimes, we are the cruelest thing to live on this planet....I have just nipped out to give a friend who helps out at the same charity as myself to give her some puppy milk. 4 tiny 4/5 day old puppies in a cardboard box taped up next to the bin. Fingers crossed they will make it but the odd are not with them when they do not get mummy´s milk. Poor lady will now be up every 2 hours feeding them. Cowards who do this sort of thing, they need taping inside a box. Sadly it happens far too often here

                • Words fail me, Lisa How can "people" be so callous.
I hope they can be saved and found decent homes.

                  • Lisa, I think there are more people like your friend on the planet, whoes acts of kindness far outweigh the nasty cruel Bs that do such things. I do hope the pups survive

                    • Rary sadly there is not in this area, i have hand raised 30+ puppies and kittens from new born because they have been dumped and sadly our vet puts them to sleep on a regular basis as there are not enough foster homes and it costs a small fortune. Thats not to mention the 1000´s of other older pups, dogs etc

I love insomnia! But it's ok, I've only been awake for 2 hours.
Hope you all have a good Sunday.
I'm going to have another go at that sleeping thing again now. Night night

Hope you managed some more sleep SP.
I am with you today Nico´s, i am planning on scrubbing the oven, it really needs it and it would be nice to do before xmas and start to get the spare rooms in order, no-one has stayed in there for 8 months so needs a very good airing and cleaning out. Would ideally like to pull up some weeds as they are taking over some areas. So much to do so little time

Have a lovely sunday what ever you are up to x

Another warm start to the day for December. Off over the plot soon to carry on digging the last big bed in the hope we eventually get a frost.

Few last minute bits to get for Christmas after the plot then home for a roast

                                Have a great day everyone
