Aiming to get the Christmas vegetables from the plot this morning. Then marzipan the Christmas cake this afternoon. I thought it was meant to be sunny today, but it's really grey and overcast. Quite blowy so hopefully that will blow the clouds away.

Morning All from Sunshiny South Wales
Washing's on, dogs fed, chooks out, coffee drunk............ and a new wheelie bin has been delivered (smaller size 'cos the council are cutting back).
Actually, I've had 2 bins left outside, but neither of them are for this house. They're for neighbours 3 and 2 houses away. My job for the morning will be to track down MY bin. Wonder which part of the house numbers the delivery men couldn't read?
Have a lovely day everyone

Good morning from a bright and sunshiney Dublin. Off to mass and then into town to the Christmas market. Have a good day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Morning all. Well I didn't make it to the allotment dinner but I feel a lot better for having an early night and having a lie in.
Nice and sunny here this morning which is a nice change. Kids are at my mom and dads so will be picking them up later on this afternoon.
Have a good day everyonesigpic

Morning all, took a while to get light this morning. An overcast day for us.
Just phoned the elderly Aunt to wish her a happy 91st birthday. She thanked me for my gift - a rather pretty necklace and earrings set in turquoise - and then said 'that's my birthstone'.
I replied 'that's why I got it for you'
Flippin liar, I just liked the colour and struck lucky.
She didn't stop, as she was bring taken to the GC and then out for a slap up lunch.
This time last year she was still reeling from the death of her daughter, time is helping.
Have a lovely Sunday GrapiesNannys make memories

Morning all, dull and dark this morning. Does that mean you have to buy another pressie for Christmas NS? Lisa, dread to think what your spare bedrooms are like after eight months of no use...especially if you have to pull weeds from some areas, how high are the weeds?
Going to Costco today, maybe, if OH gets out of bed...yes he is having a long, long lie this morning! Huge ironing to do too...not my favourite job.
Anyhoo, hope you all have a wonderful day whatever you are doing.sigpic

Morning all! Did I say I haven't even managed to put my tree up in the living room yet? Popped to B&Q to get my "cut" tree there was only about a dozen left! Never mind, I had a lovely £70 tree for a tenner. I bought my rooted tree in mid November for the dining room BUT they were selling off the little rooted trees for a fiver! I had to have one and as I had saved money I also bought a half barrel wooden planter for it beautiful out there! Super warm and a little sun in December. Santa is coming soon everyone

Afternoon All
Spent most of the day over the plot and lifted a few parsnip....I think they have enjoyed the rain.
Due to their size I am hoping they are not too woody.....will let you know later
