    • Morning girls from a fairly nippy Nestland, says 8 degrees but feels like 3. Gonna nip across to £land this morning for some various adhesives & varnish in earnest of my toy arriving this aft. Have a stressfree day whatever or wherever you may wander.

              • Good morning all, sun is shining but its cloudy and a bit breezy.
Well, we have finally reached the shortest day so it can only get better.
Off to the annual panto with three of my grandkids today. This will be my 21st consecutive year bringing them and it is now a firm tradition. A visit to Santa, lunch, visit the crib, a walk around to see the Christmas lights, a visit to the "pick and mix" sweetie shop and then into the theatre. How quickly the years go by when counting them like this. Eldest grsndson, who started the tradition is now 25 and always reminds me of how he enjoyed his special day every year.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                  • Managed to get to the plot to get vegetables but what was meant to be a dry sunny morning has again turned to rain. I got rather wet on the walk home. Glad I went when I did and not later.
Have the cake to ice, not my favourite job as I always see to make such a mess with the icing sugar!

                    • Distinct lack of sun and light up here again and also very blowey. Supposed to be rain at some point but dry till now.

Going out to buy our turkey crown early afternoon just in case they evaporate.

                        When is the Winter Solstice?

Winter solstice traditionally falls on December 21, although this year it will fall on the 22nd for the same reason we have leap years: the Earth’s orbit of the sun actually takes 365.5 days, so each year the solstice is pushed back by six hours.

Anyway, Good afternoon everyone from a very wet and windy bit of Wales.
I've nothing funny to tell you! I haven't been out to pull faces at passersby or waylaid any random shoppers. Maybe later if the rain stops
Have a good day Grapeys (including Ap)

                              • Worktops going on right at this minute. Hopefully I will have a sink and dishwasher by this evening. Just a sink would be wonderful. I was going to go and sort the rubbish into woodpile and skip today but the weather's awful. As the skip's being delivered tomorrow it looks as if I will be doing both at the same time.

Currently sitting here writing my Christmas cards. 1st time I've had the time. I still have to do my major shopping as in main presents, food, drink and tree. I no longer have the fairy so can I borrow the one from the GR?

My decorations are right at the back of the spare room behind all the household stuff that has been boxed and piled up so the house can be rewired and plumbed. Come to think of it so is my bed. I've got to unearth them somehow. Finding the time is the problem.

Heyho, back to the cards. Have a lovely afternoon everyone.
