I've just been reading that this year today is in fact the shortest day. I thought it was always the 21st!...just goes to show!.....

So Happy Shortest Day...and ( raising her glass of water...tis too early in the day for champers....or is it? ) ...and here's to a new growing year ahead!

What's everyone up to today?...I have all my family apart from daughter ans SIL here with me.....tis lovely ....I might go and buy the last of the Xmas nosh today and get stuck into a jigsaw!

Good Morning! Very windy here. Oh and Jay - that's why they're called Blowaways Last parcel is due to arrive today and then everything will have been wrapped. Eldest son came for his on Saturday (it was lovely to see the three boys, granddaughter was working). Youngest son took his on Sunday and my daughter is coming for hers tomorrow. Sounds daft, but I'm going to miss the gift buying! One present for the eldest Golden Girl is a frilly apron and a tiara - to aid the cooking

Very wet and windy night here, with serious gusts..Was too dark to check for any potential damage when I was leaving for work and will be dark when I get home, so may need to get the torch out...

Good morning all. A grey day here. So far no rain but I have a feeling it wont be long in coming.
Dont have anywhere to go today so I am quite happy to stay indoors after all the running around the last few days.

Morning all, I think the rain in slowing going but it's still very windy! Off to the Big Smoke today to meet some friends for a 'Pie a Pint and a Pantomime', should be good fun. Last puppy sitting duty for my son before he heads of for three months to San Diego. He is also visiting friends in Vancouver while he is there. He has had itchy feet since he was young, doesn't hang around in the one place too long so when he is here we use him to our advantage to get away for weekends etc. Hope it's not too wet and windy here today as we are using the trains, assuming they are running ok. Hope you all have a wonderful day whatever you are doing.

Back from the supermarket. Got there before 9 and when I came to leave 45 minutes later people were queuing for parking spaces. Just a trip to the farm shop tomorrow to collect the turkey. Very windy here too.

Been wet here overnight but there has been loads of shiney since at least until 10 mins ago when it tipped down. Mind you it was still shiney and we had a gorgeous rainbow. Just need the bucket of gold to go with it. Brown wheelie bin here tomorrow (green collection- yes I know it is so silly ) so I've been having a final tidy up for the year outside but unfortunately rain stopped play. A bit of final xmas shopping shortly (yes the lazy xmas) and the I think a pie and a pint out for lunch. Wonder if Rary will pay?
