After an evening in the local, and a while watching TV and Christmas snacks, I was *going* to venture into the festive musical byways - but I realise that the first item on the PLAN for tomorrow occurs 8.30am when the turkey needs bringing out the fridge to come up to room temperature.
The shockingly massive price that I've paid for it, I half expect it to make it's own way out the fridge to make me a cup of tea in bed, then stuff itself and tuck up in the roasting dish. Hmm.
Morning all, up early for the calm before the storm.
Only joking
Today will go as smoothly as it should.
Our daughter will face time us so that we can see them opening their presents, which I love.
Then we make our way over with the Christmas dinner and cook it there
Turkey and gammon cooked yesterday. Turkey is dry, cooked too long. Gammon might be alright.
None of that matters lol because the favourite bits are the sausage meat stuffing and the pigs in blankets
Hope you all have a lovely day whatever you are doing.
Many thanks for all the advice and laughs over the year.
You lot are truly wonderful
Merry Christmad Grapeys
My family usually sleep til 9/10 o'clock and then we actually get dressed up for the day before opening the pressies...in turn .....whilst supping on champers and munching on croissants..
That usually takes us through til midday when we start preparing food and sit down about 4pm as it's getting dark, so we light loads and loads of candles and eat, chat and giggle our way through til late evening.
we still have a wreath and gingerbread house to make though!!
Looks like Hibou and I are the first up this morning in this household!

Congrats to son yesterday...
Kids were awake at 6, kept them in bed with us until 7, that was as long as could keep them..Major excitement when they seen the trail of chocolate coins from their bedrooms down the stairs to the tree with their Santa stuff...
Very happy kiddies... Brings joy to the heart
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Morning all from a totally miserable Nestland. Thanks for that Trip, it brought back so many happy memories. Enjoy them whilst they are young..........

And your hands begin to harden.

Trip...that was lovely to share.
For those of us with no likkle peeps around us that was lovely to read.
I love the idea of the chocolate coins!
I used to sprinkle gold glitter from the fireplace to the pressies so that it was Santa's magic dust.
Lovely memories
