Wishing you every happiness in your new homes

(New readers, please note Lumpy and Skeggijon do not live together, although it is a bit of a coincidence that they should both move this week )

Hope they can share a cake!

        Congratulations.
The joy of unpacking boxes. The fun of walking round the new house with the same item 6 time trying to work out where it's going to live
I do enjoy a house move. But I hope I don't have to do it again for a very long time.

Enjoy guys and do not push all those boxes you don't want to empty in the spare room

                  Dorrrrr.....you lot are....well.....brilliant.

The fact that me a SJ both live in Lincolnshire is a mere coincidence.

On a serious note THANK YOU ALL for the good words but I will be piggin glad when it is all over.

Did I mention I can turn the tap on and get hot water out without having to get up at 4am every morning to turn the immersion on?

Still trying to figure out a plan of action with the 'girls' but I am sure they will comply with anything I have planned as long as the bag of worms is big enough.

Thanks to the council being VERY aware of H&S issues the back garden has been turned into an empty wasteland - good for plotting and planning but so good they removed the path between the back door and gate.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

Best wishes & hope all goes well for you both! Pea shingle is good down a sideway to a gate. It's a good deterrent for thieves as it's quite noisy to walk on.

Thank you so much. We now have an absolutely massive workshop, as well as two garages to store the boxes in.
The Banties were esconced in one of my sheds on the lotty til their home was reassembled - I brought them back yesterday afternoon and they seem quite happy. Unfortunately the cat has not coped quite so well and has taken to living in our bedroom on my dressing gown snd refuses to explore, although I'm sure thats just a matter of time.
My step-daughter hates it - wifi not arriving til Tuesday and the place is so old!!!
We need a complete re-wire, repointing, re-painting and a much larger bathroom, plus about 6 mature trees need to come down, so a tree doctor needed.
On the plus side, beautiful high ceilinged victorian rooms, a spacious conservatory and a private drive - which needs about 10 tonnes of gravel putting on it
What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
                      Pumpkin pi.

I would love to move to an old house. We have so much rubbish in this house that the thought of moving gives me the chills!

Congrats on your new homes and hoping it all goes well for you both. Putting your stamp on it is the best bit - even if it does seem to take forever

Glad you clarified that VC because the way BM worded it I thought they were living together lol.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

I'm not an enormous fan of moving - interrupts time I could be at the lotty, but gaining a workshop big enough to keep a double decker bus in has eased the stress somewhat
