I am feeling quite proud of my kitchen garden this year . After nearly 6 years of improving a patch of soil on land that only grows olive and almond trees, all the hard work is now paying off. I had an abundance of tomatoes, potatoes and sweet peppers. And in the middle of November I still have available for harvesting - sweet peppers, carrots (no fly damage this year), cabbages, Italian black kale, brussel sprouts, swede, parsnips, celery, parsley, thyme, rhubarb (grown from seed January 2014). Looking at my kitchen garden in the November sunshine is just a wonderful sight - so many different shades of green - very pleasing to the eyes I am now in the process of creating an orchard. I have a navel orange tree which has 7 big fat oranges on it, a lemon and a cherry tree. I am now thinking of a pear tree and a crispy juicy apple tree to add to my collection. I LOVE GARDENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And also my flower sowing/growing is fab too. Just pricked out 80 Sweet Williams, loads of delphiniums and larkspurs which will give me lots of colour early next year, both in the flower gardens near the house and on the veggie garden. As I have said "I LOVE GARDENING"!!!!!!!
