The most important of which are..... The appliance must have a annual service and inspection by a registered engineer. At the time of service the log book found in the rear of your installation instructions must be filled in and signed by said registered engineer.

The inhibitor level within the system must be kept to recommended level to avoid corrosion.

Its a good guarantee when you think a new circuit board would set you back some £200 a new main heat exchanger more like £600.

Yep boilers are just like Mini's if you build one from parts the are the same price as a Roller.

Thanks for that Potty. We are aware that an annual service is required but didn't know about requirement to have log book completed and signed. I'll be primed for that at service time.Wasn't aware about corrosion inhibitor requirement either. So many things we rely on the service engineers for that we don't get told.

Baxi are very good, but if their service engineer just like Worcester's and find say a blocked secondary heat exchanger they first thing they will do is test the system waters. Good & company engineers carry a small test kit and it takes but a few moments to do the test.

Then the company engineers will show you a small phial with purple water and say "sorry sir the corrosion within the system has caused the problem", the guarantee is then null and void.

Not a situation to find yourself in for £20 worth of inhibitor every couple of years.
