I was informed loudly at 4am that we had sner, I was not impressed. Woke up to sludge and savage cold wind. Brrr.

We had snow last night about 11ish. I was up with Will being poorly. We had quite a bit of snow that is still visible on the decking. Has warmed up a little bit but not much.

Well I guess I have to believe SWMBO now.

I rose late this morning to a lovely bright sunny day, cold brisk wind but a cracking day non the less. I remarked to SWMBO "Got another weather forecast wrong", she informed me that at 4am it was snowing hard and settling everywhere. Being from the high peak she loves her snow, I told her she must have been dreaming, time for some humble pie me thinks.

Pleased to report none here, looks lovely on the TV and in pictures but that's the end of my liking.

Traveled to my project house on edge of Weardale to find area bathed in sner.. Didn't stop too long as temp dropped to freezing point and cars started skidding on the icy bank. (As usual, Council cuts meant no gritting!)

Back home 20 miles away and temperature has risen to 3 degrees!

My weather station is teetering between 0 and -1, but says "fair", so I guess ner sner tonight, but maybe a frost instead.

I do miss the snow a little. Hopefully the mountains near us toward Granada will get a covering again. The boys loved it so much last year. It was cold up there though

Ner sner her, but it's bl@@dy cold. I was chucked out of the house earlier today with the dogs whilst my son and his mate put down floors. They had all the doors open so when I got back the the temp inside was the same as outside. I have no boiler or hot water. The only heating is a small fan heater and an open fire if I bother to light it.

3 hours later and I'm just about beginning to feel warm.

2 weeks to survive and the worst should be over. Just got to get through it.

We woke up to several inches of unexpected snow this morning, a lot has melted but it's still very white and the mountains look fantastic

Boiler installed but not fired up yet and my only form of heating (a small fan heater) has given up the ghost. It's cold. I could light the fire but it means I have to go out in the pitch black and hope to find enough wood to keep me warm overnight. I think I'll snuggle down under a duvet with the dogs and the laptop on my lap. The telly is awful.
