JJ Regardless of updating you should back up the iPad. You never know when it might die on you. Once you've got back up on laptop, back that up too. USB sticks are relatively cheap for photos and documents.
Make sure your iTunes program on laptop is updated first. Have a look at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204136

Thankyou,I had a look at this link last night & I don't have icloud in my settings on 4.3 iOS so to back up you have to plug into laptop or pc,that's what I'd done,I was backing it up (saving it) all to iTunes & it was taking 2 days,it was getting silly,I just unplugged it thinking how many days does it need! I am at risk of losing everything on here,one day I might try again?

On my iPad using Google, GYO is the only thing that crashes VERY regularly!!! I have done all updates. I have deleted and reinstalled Google. None of it has made any difference. If I touch the page before that little circle has stopped spinning, it crashes. Very frustrating. This is why I can't keep up with the GR and I'm 3 answers late, ever time.
Sorry, but it's really nice to know it's not just me.
