I "think" its summat to do with the piccie being portrait - and it would be OK if landscape/horizontal (deliberately).
Try taking it again in landscape and see if it works.

Here's ours. My daughter says it needs more tinsel, so it might change yet...

The actual tree may change from year to year but there are some constant features in the decorations: the druid sits on the top, while the partidge sits among the sparkly pears near the two doves and the three hens.

Wow, some lovely trees. This is our first ever xmas tree together after 15 years!
Thought i would be one of the only ones without tinsel, but theres a lot of you out there. When i was very young maybe 7 or 8 my brother nearly killed me by strangling me with tinsel, mum came in just in time, so i am scared of the stuff
                        I will post later
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

I got fed up of trying to wrap a string of lights all the way round and up the tree, so now I have two sets the same. I zigzag one set up the front, and one set up the back, it's much easier.

I do the zig zag thing too! My Father Christmas, my carousel(a gift from the SIL many moons ago - she's German) the little tree is our family tree with all our treasures we've kept over the years. The big tree is our £10 bargain in the living room.
