You want to try being part of some of the Horsey world forums and fb groups! Talk about 'up themselves' they are often frequented by the 'all the gear but no idea' types, the attitudes and language is disgusting, and the atmosphere is dire.

This forum has its ups and downs from time to time, but considering the amount of members it has, the variation in their ages, religions and cultures, it is only to be expected. Many people drop out and pop back in depending on their work and other commitments, and I think it's great that so many members feel part of a huge extended family. Long may it continue!

It is rare I use the term friends, but I do consider you all virtual friends. Some times as mods we need to be firm but fair and that's quite easy because you guys understand the meaning of politeness, compassion and understanding, not to mention someone's pointy stick!

I think all people who have a love of the land and a love of growing, are just lovely, down to earth people.
Your culture, religion and age take second place to all of that.
If there were more people in the world as tolerant as our peeps on here it would be such a better place.

Adding to that, I have been the recipiant of that kindness and compassion in the last few months since loosing my mother so I know first hand how many lovely peeps there are on here.
              My thanks to you all.

And when your back stops aching,

You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I can't really add anything to what has already been said. This is a very friendly, helpful, caring and funny ( ha ha, not full of weirdos ) place. I like it here.

This is a lovely friendly cheerful forum, I am a mod on another forum which I love too but it's a bit quiet and can be a little gloomy sometimes (I feel guilty now). But it's almost always happy and light hearted here so I appreciate everyone and all the mods for keeping our forum such a great place to be.

This is my favourite forum. I've dipped out on occasion when I've been too busy to do t'internet.. I've met a few of you. You are a load of nutters who garden, right up my street. I was bawling my eyes out tonight but coming on here puts everything into perspective.

I totally agree with what other folks are saying. This is the friendliest most tolerant and helpful forum I've found. Posters are unfailingly polite, and mods are fair and yet firm.

Is it because we all love to grow things, do you think?

                        Because...
