    Morning BB!

Along with about 60,000 others over nearly 400 locations around the country who run every Saturday morning, today I'm running 5k round our a park at 9am at the local Parkrun, so I was tucked up early last night.

It is still dark and weather is supposed to be 4deg and heavy rain - although looking out the back door I would say it is light rain (I'll take the positive where I can find it)

Sadly what started off as a really pleasurable jog , in which I was getting faster every week, has now been cut short as I've been told I need a knee replacement! No more running I've been told. Apparently running is great for the cardio vascular system on a big fella, but destroys the leg joints
I'm gutted, as it was really enjoyable and I'm not into cycling or swimming!

Glad to see you're still enjoying your running Hazel and sorry to be tangential!

Hope you have a great run Hazel...you'll be just about warming up now!
Are you hoping to shave some time off or just keeping up the fitness this time?

Snadge!...oh no!...can you perhaps do power walking instead?
I see a few peeps round here doing it and it certainly requires a certain level of fitness!
Might be worth having a go and see what you think?

Oh, Snadge, I'm so disappointed for you and for me. I've enjoyed my virtual runs. Would you like a doughnut?

Goooo Hazel I think you will be OK with the weather as the proper hard rain seems to be this end of the motoway

                That's a bugger Snadge

Best of luck Hazel, that's rotten Snadger...why not just go for a brisk walk instead. They do say walking is the best exercise. Not a wee stroll but a brisk walk. Doesn't put as much pressure on the joints.

Hoping for a pb - since last time I ran this one a couple of months ago, I've been taking speedwork classes at at the track, and I want to see if it's made a difference. Waiting for the official times to be posted, but I *think* I've snuck a couple of seconds off my best time - and that with a post-cold rattly chest

Well, I would have categorised the rain this morning as 'persistant light/medium' as opposed to 'heavy' - it's a good job that skin is waterproof.
