  • How many Xmas Dinners will you be eating??

With families and friends spread around the country, work does etc, I was wondering how many Xmas Dinners peeps will be eating?

    just being nosey !

    I'll be having 2 .
I made one for the family whilst in the UK and one this Xmas Day.

...my son on the other hand will be munching his way through 4 family Xmas Dinners ( 2 with me!)

(Those calories are going to take some shifting!)

I've had three different Christmas lunches with work this week. Best was at the Fishpool Inn in Delamere - lovely place.

I would like to say one, but with my bipolar daughter, it's a guessing game

One of my customers is taking me out for Xmas Lunch this Thursday which is really nice. She is 83 years old and unbelievably physically fit and able for her age. I treated her last year but she insisted on returning the favour this time. Nice innit.

We'll then have a big xmas meal on the day. Turkey and all the trimmings and of course we'll have the same again on boxing day and then every day till the turkey crown is all gone. Then it will be back to the gruel

Two for us. One on the day with our family and the in-laws, another on Boxing Day with my parents and brothers and their families. Used to be two on the same day, like Scarlets brother, when we were young and had no kids. One with my family at lunch time and the other with OH family in the evening...that was the day when you could do things like that and not feel ill!

We have just the one at our usual dinner time of 7pm. I'm not to keen on eating my main meal at lunch time.

Do not discount the 80 year olds. My aunty is 89 and last year she went up a mountain like a goat to spread my aunty's (her sisters) ashes. She is much, much fitter than me.

Back to Christmas meal. I'm not eating any Xmas dinner until the day when I will be cooking it for the first time in over 10 years.

Just on the day but the best thing about hosting is all the left overs. We both look forward to the following week when we eat various combination of turkey based meals - buy one way bigger than needed so it lasts for as long as possible

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
