Just wanted to say hi to everyone and sorry I cant join you tonight.
Do you remember about four weeks ago I had to dash off sharpish because a mate had had a serious bike accident? Well, hes now well on the road to recovery, thank goodness! and is coming round for tea and also to watch my OH flog the remainder of his bike on ebay.
Fortunately, Mick did not suffer any brain injury and his fracture in his neck will heal itself. After surgery on his elbow that should be OK but he may not be able to lift heavy weights in the future (he's a plumber and that can be heavy lifting boiler etc).
The main problem is his memory, he keeps forgetting things (Carolyn his OH says they did do a brain scan and they did find a brain - surprise surprise!) but his left leg is a bit of a mess. The surgeons have put metal pins etc into it but it will take a long time to get back to normal.
As Mick is self employed Carolyn is not only working full time as a nurse (on the ward that Mick was in!) but is also looking after Mick, their daughter Emma (2 1/2) and the housework, so we thought we would give them a bit of a break and invite them for tea.
Carolyn is a very keen GYOwner, and has her name on several lottie waiting lists, but obviously is a bit busy at the moment.
Have a super night everyone! Thanks for "listening" to me! Bernie
