I am not saying I like them but two must have's in my job are............... a mobile phone with e-mail otherwise letting agencies will not employ you. When a problem comes in they just e-mail you and forget ..... it's your problem then.

A flue gas analyser 10 years ago very few chaps had one because of the expense, now days you cannot install/service a high efficiency boiler with out one.

Something else I'd have to Google

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Its not a gadget as such but i wish someone would invent a way to make new plastic bags easier to open, even printing "Top" on black bin bags would help, I am always trying to open the bottom. As for opening the top, when you find it, if one edge was crinckled a bit it would prevent the suction seal that hold them
together or is it static? Either way if we can put men on the moon i am sure we can crack this silly problem.

Ooh, I love gadgets. My favourite is always the one I've just bought! In fact I ordered a Nutribullet today. I held out for a while but two different friends have been raving about theirs... any of you Grapes got one and if so, what do you think?

Best tried and tested gadgets are my bread maker and power drill/screwdriver. Wouldn't be without either.

Least used gadget? My ice cream maker.

Duocut is asimple but brilliant idea & the stand saves all the backache

Two things to remember bud ......

Open the "thumb screw" before use (if you are anything like me you will never close it again & the plastic bit of it WILL get broken when the first bit of wood hits it, but it's not a worry as it really doesn't need closing unless you are transporting it over a large distance while it will be rocked about)
Always slacken off the ram stop after the last use, firstly it protects the chrome finish on the ram, secondly it saves the motor run-up on the next splitting session ....

Mine has easily split well over 12 tons of wood & is still going strong

Yep, it's the only design weakness I've found & will be looking into making a more robust one over the winter, will happily you one post out when sorted

Just lick your fingers Bill, rub top of the plastic bag (assuming you can find it ) between your fingers and hey presto!
