My mum's present from her GD is a "Name A Rose" package. Ooh, that sounds exciting, I thought. It isn't. It's a tin containing a packet of rose seeds and a form to fill in that registers the rose you (hope to) grow with the name of your choice. And there's a caveat that says if the rose seeds don't germinate, it's the growing conditions, not the seeds that are at fault.

Hope GD didn't pay too much for it.......

Phone the Police.........Call the Cops.........we have ad an intruder.........I am sure it was the old, fat man wearing the bright red coat last night..............and how do I know that he snuck in and had a rifle through my drawers?


I went to my seed folder, still grinning in the sure knowledge that I only have 15-20 packets of seeds and it was bulging........not just a bit but a gaping bulge.

I'm sure it was not that fat before so I emptied it out onto the table........

That sneaky house de burgler has put 100's of packets of seeds in my folder and I am sure that I did NOT own them all yesterday.........

Why does he think I need 12 different tom varieties, 6 courgette (I don't even like them), 5 winter radish, 9 lettuce (I hate floppy leaves) etc etc.


So call the cops as my happiness at NOT being one of THOSE kind of growers has been shattered and I can no longer sit smugly and feel sorry for the rest of you.

I am sure I did not buy all of these.........

ever so behind with our Dinner.
Still, it's calm here now that the wrapping paper has been cleared away.

Can't believe I've not had a glass of fizz yet- but if I do , I'll fall asleep before I've even finished cooking!

Time though to get stuck into my jigsaw- 1st I've done for about 9 years!!!!

All the Girls, n grandkids have been, awarded what Santa left em, and left with a huge hug, n giant smile and are all at eldest Daughters "Piggin Out"
