I got very excited unwrapping a gift that indicated it might be a plant. It's not, it's a plastic toy saxaphone which makes lots of noise. Hmm. But also got a fantastic cookery book that looks amazing.
Busy day for me today. Opened prezzies,helped with dinner preparation, ate dinner, went to lottie and gave chooks their Crimbo dinner,repaired broken pane in greenhouse, got drowned as rain went straight through my waterproof coat,came home, buried budgy in the rain (died two days ago!) As I was soaked and it was chucking it down, decided to wash my Moggy Minor which was the original days job! No need to rinse it though!
At this Christmas time when our thoughts go out to others can we all spare a thought for all the flood victims who maybe aren't having such a great time of it having been flooded three times or more.

And there was me thinking I had problems with a new bank card issued which doesn't work, My thoughts! Wouldn't even begin to console those in the "Cumbrian" area at this time of year! But my "Heart felt thought's" Certainly goes out to each and everyone of them! Which to be perfectly honest, isn't gunna do a great deal!

Just finished red wine and first course, slow roast silverside, pink fir apple potatoes, carrots, parsnips, yorkshire puds and cabbage. All veges from allotment.
Will have chrissy pud soon and then wait for friends to ring to play bridge this evening.
Hopped to go for walk but it is too wet here and too dark.
